Armenia at Eurovision 2025: PARG with “Survivor”
PARG hails from the small village of Hayravank, located in the Gegharkunik province of Armenia. He now resides in Yerevan, the capital city. He discovered his love for music in a church, where he sang in the church choir.
Initially, PARG’s passion was theatre. He attended the Volgograd State Institute of Theatre and Cinema, where he graduated with a degree in Theatre Arts and Acting. While his Eurovision performance may not reveal it, he is also an accomplished guitarist. He is skilled in both acoustic and electric guitars, as well as other traditional string instruments.
During his university years, PARG co-founded a band called The Edge Chronicles. The band existed from 2017 to 2019, touring in various cities across Armenia, Ukraine, Georgia, and Russia.
What do the “Survivor” lyrics mean?
The song is empowering and serves as the perfect soundtrack for those moments when you feel like you’re on the verge of giving up. It begins by acknowledging that struggles are real and valid. While the frustration he feels is genuine, he is also determined not to give up. He doesn’t allow himself to, because being alive means experiencing both ups and downs.
I’m sick of the news
I’m sick of the views
I’m sick of the lies they’ve told
(…)
Letting me down
Lifting me up
Keeping me slow
But I can’t stop
It’s tearing me apart
I’m alive
No matter how strong the pain, PARG’s strength is even stronger. He makes it loud and clear that, no matter what life throws his way, he is ready to fight and to win:
I’m a fighter
I’m a survivor
Won’t be tied up
In the end, it’s all an exercise in perseverance. The more you live, the more experience you gain in handling things. The most important thing is to never let anyone dim your inner flame. Every mistake and every bad experience ultimately serves as a lesson:
Kicking me, breaking me
But I won’t stop
Pushing me, pulling me
I will get up
Hitting me, mocking me
Stabbing me, crushing me
Tearing me, burning me
I’ll never stop
(…)
I could have lost my way
I could have made mistakes
I bled a lot, more than you thought
But I didn’t fade away
While you shouldn’t let anybody break you down, you must also keep in mind who you are—stay true to your wishes, goals, and desires, and never leave yourself behind:
Say you’ll break me down
And bring me to my knees
You can do it
Can you prove it?
But you ain’t got shiz on me
(…)
Breathe in breathe out it’s all done
Never forget who you are

Survivor
I got my bad shades on
Jet-black am in ma zone
I’m sick of the news
I’m sick of the views
I’m sick of the lies they’ve told
Come on and shine the light
Come on and shine on me
Guess you can see
I don’t believe
Anything they told me
Letting me down
Lifting me up
Keeping me slow
But I can’t stop
It’s tearing me apart
I’m alive
Tryna look up, atop of a rock
Climbing these heights, man
I can’t stop at all
I’m standing tall
I’m a survivor
Stay aliver
Do or die in my prime
I’m a fighter
I’m a survivor
Won’t be tied up
Break from the pain
Take your place, I’ll remind ya
I’m a survivor
Break from the pain
Take your place, I’ll remind ya
Kicking me, breaking me
But I won’t stop
Pushing me, pulling me
I will get up
Hitting me, mocking me
Stabbing me, crushing me
Tearing me, burning me
I’ll never stop
I could have lost my way
I could have made mistakes
I bled a lot, more than you thought
But I didn’t fade away
Say you’ll break me down
And bring me to my knees
You can do it
Can you prove it?
But you ain’t got shiz on me
I’m a survivor
Break from the pain
Take your place, I’ll remind ya
Breathe in breathe out it’s all done
Never forget who you are
Breathe in breathe out it’s all done
Never forget who you are
I’m a survivor
Stay aliver
Do or die in my prime
I’m a fighter
I’m a survivor
Won’t be tied up
Break from the pain
Take your place, I’ll remind ya
I’m a survivor
I’m a survivor
Break from the pain
Take your place
Survivor
Break from the pain
Take your place
Survivor
Break from the pain
Take your place
I’m а ѕurvivor

Weak song
But I think it will squeeze into the final
Quite “it’s okay, but meh” entry and those lyrics are just not something I’d see juries going for, even if this gets to the final.
A moment of silence for the writer who produced the genius lyric: “Stay-aliver”
Amazing, right…lmao
