Switzerland, the host country of Eurovision 2205, is ready to offer us another outstanding song, following their victory with Nemo. This year, they are sending Zoë Më with a beautiful ballad in French, titled “Voyage.”
Zoë was selected internally, as Switzerland decided to forgo organising national selections after 2018. After three years of sending songs in English, they are returning to French this year. Eurovision fans are excited to see what the host country has planned for Zoë’s performance, after being impressed by the song and her voice.

Switzerland at Eurovision 2025: Zoë Më with “Voyage”
Zoë Më was actually born in Basel, the host city of this year’s Eurovision edition. She spent some time living in Germany but has now returned to her homeland in Fribourg. Her poetic style began developing at the age of 10 when she first started writing lyrics.
In 2024, Zoë won both the RTS Artiste Radar and the SRF 3 Best Talent awards, previously won by former Eurovision artists who represented Switzerland, such as Nemo (2024) and Marius Bear (2022).
Zoë has performed at prestigious events, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Luzern Live stage. She has also been a guest artist on tours with former Eurovision artist Remo Forrer, who represented Switzerland in 2023.
What do the “Voyage” lyrics mean?
This year, Switzerland brings the chanson genre with “Voyage” (Journey), a deeply poetic ballad in French. The song has many layers, colours, and messages.
First, it compares humans to flowers—flowers that need to be watered and nurtured in order to grow, just as people need kindness, support, and love to develop.
The song can be dedicated to anyone, depending on the situation. It could be a general message about a world that should be kinder, it could be about standing by a friend in need, or even about love and not walking away from a relationship during dark times.
The song is told from the perspective of someone who is innocent and vulnerable, someone who is hurt by another’s words. But even though it’s painful, this doesn’t convince her to walk away.
My candid eyes discover the world
In a naive way that confounds
The demons of the night
(…)
You throw words at me that choke me
No matter what
I’ll lie next to you tonight
There is still hope for realisation, understanding, and growth. She hopes that those around her will come to understand that the way you treat others often reflects back on you, and that people need kindness and love. Yet, she has often felt like a flower that, instead of being watered, was cut off. Despite this, she refuses to respond with the same kind of treatment:
One day you’ll understand
That flowers are more beautiful
When you water them
You’ve cut me so many…times
She is willing to sacrifice herself and be selfless, despite the way she is treated. She wants to nourish the person next to her, to try to help them, giving love even when she is not receiving the same amount in return. This is definitely not an invitation to remain in something toxic, but rather a realisation that the person next to you might be going through something challenging, needing help and understanding—not someone to be left behind:
Let me love you even if you don’t
I’ll drown in your tears
I’ll share your melancholy
The journey she sings about is a journey of life, one filled with ups and downs. It’s a journey guided by unconditional love, all about being by the side of the other person through life’s challenges, towards mutual growth and shared moments:
If you want I’ll go
With you on a journey

Zoe has the best pics/portraits this year. Simply amazing.
A wonderful contrast to the atrocious graphic design of this year’s contest.
So beautiful this song. I would love this to surprise everyone and win.
I too wouldn’t mind. It’s definitely among my 5, 6 favs this year. So classy.
