Montenegro selected, re-selected, and finally, in the end, decided that Nina Žižić is the one who will make them proud in Basel at Eurovision 2025 this May. She’s no beginner—she’s a former Eurovision artist returning to compete with her powerful ballad, “Dobrodošli.”

Nina was the runner-up in Montesong 2025 this year. She placed fourth in the public vote, but a 12-point boost from the jury secured her second place. The national selection was initially won by the rock band NeonoeN with their song “Clickbait.” However, the band withdrew after a clip surfaced of them performing the song in 2023, violating the competition’s rules. As a result, the broadcaster decided that the runner-up, Nina Žižić, would represent Montenegro in Basel.

Montenegro has never won Eurovision before, so Nina is ready to seize this opportunity in 2025.

Fact 11: She has to qualify. There is no way that semi 2 has 10 acts that are better than her. And good grief, I just read on Wikipedia that Björkman decided the running order yet again. Is this true? In Switzerland? Swiss TV, you’re miserable if that’s correct. Your whole damn organization really has nobody else who can be the jerk to give Montenegro spot nr 2? What a hard task.

Yes, that’s true. They will also decide running order for final (so we know who won’t be number 2). This is an ongoing issue for fans which no-one seems to want to resolve.
