Rehearsals for Eurovision 2025 are about to get underway imminently in Basel. Within the next two weeks, decisions will be made that shape a winner from the 37 competing acts.

Before then, it’s time to check in with who y’all are currently rooting for.

Following the release of all songs back in March, we asked you to name your favourite to win the song contest.

You made your voices heard, submitting a massive 18,951 votes.

Now it’s time to reveal the result…

Albania’s Shkodra Elektronike are a favourite to win Eurovision 2025

The number one spot has gone to Shkodra Elektronike from Albania. Despite finishing second in our semi-final 1 poll, an extra push of support here allowed them to clinch the victory.

Shkodra Elektronike were one of the very first acts to be selected for Eurovision, all the way back in December 2024. Five months later, and the hype surrounding the duo is still ignited. Their fiery song “Zjerm” received 2,106 votes in this poll — that’s 11.11% of all those cast.

Silver goes to Finland. Erika Vikman is waving the country’s flag this year with “ICH KOMME”, a song about sexual freedom. The star has long been a favourite amongst fans and this has translated into this poll as well, where Erika picked up 1,969 votes — that’s 10.39% of all those cast.

KAJ take the final spot on the podium. The Finnish trio, who will be representing Sweden, have captured the hearts of many with their ode to the sauna lifestyle of northern Europe. They have consistently remained the bookies’ favourites to win Eurovision. “Bara Bada Bastu” earned 1,620 votes (8.55%).

I hope Albania wins but I think won’t be possible because as usually countries will vote for their neighbors and Albania won’t get these votes

That’s probably the reason Portugal won in 2017, since it’s neighbour for all of Europe.

Dumbest view ever, if it doesn’t do well it means that it wasn’t that good to begin with.

Frankly speaking, no. I like their piece a lot but it is to “up standard” for the medium man of Eurovision

I really want Albania to win! Best song this year, and also a more exciting winner than Sweden again. I’m Swedish myself so not hateful, just honest..

Let’s see if they once again get slotted into to the death spot in the finals like they seem to be far more than anyone else. . .

I’d be happy with either Albania or Serbia. At opposite ends here. I do hope that Björkmann and Österdahl won’t bury them in the Grand Final in their pursuit of ‘the perfect programme’.

Being Albanian, I hope we achieve a good result in this edition. I believe the song might genuinely deserve winning as it checks most of the boxes I usually consider for winners: it is unique, displays a complete composure of different elements, harmony between these different styles, has its own character, grows and transcends without overreaching, decent vocals. However, no country as small as Alb-ania has won since Latvia in 2002, no country currently 10th with bookmakers this close to the contest has ever won a-f-a-i can recall. Hence, realistically, an any-place top 7 finish would be a nice placement.… Read more »

I wouldn’t say never, but the contest needs to pivot back to quality songs sung live by actual singers as opposed to the dance acts that only sing a tiny bit to the backing track that have overwhelmed the last couple of years. Once they do that, Albania could win – but they would have the best chance in the first couple of years after the wished for rule change.

I know, the EBU has given up on song quality and live singing, but I’m still barely holding onto some hope.

Can see the juries going for Sweden because well…it’s Sweden.

I like the song but it doesn’t scream winner for me, it’s just because it’s Sweden and honestly I’m tired of Sweden hosting. They seemed very tired or “over it” last year.

Albania’s song is definitely original and well sung. And a win for Albania would be great. I see tne jury possibly vote this into the top 10, but I do not see the general public rewarding Albania with many points. In the end, they will reach spot 11-15 probably. IMHO Sweden is unbeatable this year.

It would be nice to see a new country winning, but I have seen a lot of people saying that Albania could genuinely win eurovision, but that is a bit delulu to think that

Would be nice for Albania to reach a top 5 position and earn there best results yet.
If Sweden/Austria win I don’t mind even though I’d love a first time winner/ a country that’s not won in over 20 years.
I’m just hoping my country which is my favourite UK gets top 15 this year.

Thanks to all of you who are voting for the Albanian entry this year. As an Albanian it makes me extremely proud. There is little hype here and support by the people here but let’s hope the hype builds during the event. This is the first time we’ve been favorites in our history and I think it was about time we stayed at the top somewhere. Thanks once again!

I really hope I don’t get my comment mass-downvoted by fake accounts here everytime they hear a praise for the Albanian entry.

I think it would be so lovely for Albania to win, what a great underdog story and it is among the best this year. Which admittedly isn’t hard. If I’m being completely honest, this year there is no song that I think is so good it has to win. Not one. Switzerland comes closest so that would be my choice SONG contest wise. I’ll mostly be tuning in for the show spectacle, the staging, the voting. Song wise, I’m already done with 2025. Switzerland has the only song that I see myself coming back to in the future and maybe… Read more »

It is time that a country wins for the first time and I’d it if Albania did it. Some of the most creative and ethnic sounding production of any of the songs this year and hopefully it resonates with the public during Eurovision

Honestly, they have a such a potential to achieve a top result. We already know they’re not changing that much their FiK performance which was already super convincing, and the Basel stage transposition is gonna make it look even grander. Sweden aside, it’s really hard to predict where the heavy telepoints scores are coming this year and Al ba n ia feels a credible option. Dark horse !!

you think Albanians manipulated a wiwibloggs poll? Don‘t you think they have more important things to do? Albanians do not care that much for stuff like this.

Genuinely surprised with the result. I’m a fan of “Zjerm”, so I’m happy, but this shows that we are a small and biased group of people against the big voting mass. I hope May 17th is as close as this suggests. Not sure about Sweden being a jury favourite. Long way to go.

Have we got rehearsal schedules?
