Eurovision 2025 semi-final 1 poll: Sweden’s KAJ are our readers’ favourite to win

On Tuesday 13 May, 15 acts will compete in semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2025. Each of them will be aiming to secure one of ten spots in the grand final.

Following the release of all songs back in March, we asked you to name your favourite to win this first night of the song contest.

You made your voices heard, submitting a total of 16,965 votes.

Now it’s time to reveal the result…

Sweden’s KAJ are a favourite to win Eurovision 2025 semi-final 1

Coming out on top with a strong 1,000 vote lead are KAJ. The Finnish trio, who will be representing Sweden, have captured the hearts of many with their ode to the sauna lifestyle of northern Europe.

They have consistently remained the bookies’ favourites to win the semi-final (and Eurovision), and that theme continues with the results of this poll.

“Bara Bada Bastu” earned 3,419 votes — that’s 20.15% of all those cast.

Second place goes to Albania. Shkodra Elektronike were one of the very first acts to be selected for Eurovision, all the way back in December 2024. Five months later, and the hype surrounding the duo is still ignited. Their fiery song “Zjerm” received 2,214 votes in this poll (13.05%).

The only other act to receive more than 10% of the vote was Claude from the Netherlands. His catchy French-language track “C’est La Vie” was rewarded with 1,979 votes — providing him with the bronze medal.

Based on the results of this poll, the other acts who y’all have chosen as qualifiers are: Poland, Ukraine, Norway, Estonia, Belgium, San Marino and Cyprus.

That would leave Portugal, Iceland, Azerbaijan, Croatia and Slovenia packing for their flights home.
