The Eurovision 2025 season is now in full swing and no doubt fans will have the songs from this year’s contest on repeat until we crown a winner in May. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests – they’re still bringing us a lot of new music to enjoy.
Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.
Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.
New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 18 part 1
With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 2 here.
Vesna & Tautumeitas – “She Dance with the Sun”
Vesna are continuing their Female Anthems project that sees the Eurovision 2023 act collaborate with other all-female groups. For “She Dance with the Sun,” the Czech artists have collaborated with a sextet who are just about to join them as Eurovision alumni — Latvia’s Tautumeitas.
They gift us a captivating folk pop track that features three languages. Vesna sing English verses and a Czech bridge, whilst Tautumeitas deliver the chorus in Latvian: “Dance, oh, dance, sister / Shine with your crown of light.”
Damiano David – “Voices”
Only two weeks to go until Damiano David drops his debut solo album. Before then, the Italian megastar has shared “Voices,” which will act as the opening song of the LP. The Eurovision 2021 champion delivers an irresistible pop anthem that will leave many intrigued to find out what the rest of the album contains.
In the lyrics, David faces an inner battle. Although he’s trying to move on from a past relationship, there’s part of his conscience that can’t quite shake things off: “All these voices, they’re gonna find me wherever I go, wherever I go / All thesе voices, they’re gonna drivе me right back to your door, right back to your door / Oh, baby, I’ve been runnin’, chasing after silence, every road I take leads straight to you / All these voices, they’re gonna find me wherever I go / Tell me you can hear ’em too.”
Jerry Heil – АРХЕТИПИ
Jerry Heil has evolved a lot since her first studio album in 2019. Yet, she hasn’t lost that side of her completely — it’s one of the many АРХЕТИПИ (Archetypes) that has made her who she is today. Ukraine’s Eurovision 2024 star showcases these different shades through her third LP, featuring 16 songs. Writing about the album on social media, Heil noted:
“When I realized I had enough demos to fill several albums, I knew it was time to release at least one — and let it be just like me on any given day: different. Playful, sad, energetic, danceable… or the kind you can cry your heart out to. Every track on this album is like one of my personal archetypes. Not Jungian — mine. A lyrical dreamer, a rebel introvert, the playful Jerry from 2019, a forest nymph… I wonder if you’ll recognize them all. Or maybe you’ll hear something else, too?”
KALUSH – “Залежний”
KALUSH frontman, and pink bucket hat extraordinaire, Oleh Psiuk, has spent quite a while collaborating with other artists. But now the singer has re-joined with one of the group’s other founding members — Carpetman (though multiple people have played this ‘character’ since the band’s creation). The duo bring us the pop-rap tune “Залежний” (“Addicted”). Writing on Instagram, they reveal that they play two individuals with contrasting methods to love:
“This track tells about 2 completely opposite approaches of lovers. Someone hesitates for so long to flirt that it’s already too late. And someone, without any feelings of excessive importance, just does it. The result can be different, there is no right or wrong here, it all depends on the context.”
Dami Im – “My Favourite Scar”
My Eyes is an Australian film that centres around an optometrist whose professional and personal lives collide when her daughter is diagnosed with a rare eye disease. On the soundtrack for the movie, you’ll be able to hear Eurovision 2016 silver medallist Dami Im.
“My Favourite Scar” begins as an emotional piano ballad before building with the addition of orchestral strings. Dami sings about a person that has guided her way through troubling times and let an imprint on her forever: “You were the light that I was needing in the night / And it’s still burning in my heart / And I can see you name when I close my eyes / ‘Cause you’ve left me with a mark / My favourite scar.”
TVORCHI – “Надія”
“Maybe it’s all just dream / Maybe it’s not his fault / Maybe love melts / Like paraffin in candles / I’ll be the pole, you / Warm me with the equator / I’ll give you / Hope.”
TVORCHI spread a message of positivity in their new single “Надія” (“Hope”). Ukraine’s Eurovision 2023 duo hold on to their synth pop style, taking the ’80s inspiration and updating it for today. In the description of the accompanying video, TVORCHI share more about the song’s meaning:
“The song ‘Надія’ is about finding faith in every ordinary day. In the video, we play ourselves — ordinary guys who believe they can have superpowers. It’s a metaphor for those who find a source of light every day, all of us.”
Robin Bengtsson – “Spin The Bottle”
Sweden’s Robin Bengtsson is taking a chance and letting fate decide his next move. The Eurovision 2017 star is ready to “Spin The Bottle” and live life to the fullest: “‘Cause we might not get tomorrow / Let’s put our cards on the table / A couple jacks and we’re ready for another round / So take your mind of tomorrow / Yeah, we’ll go all in / So let’s jut spin the bottle.”
Musically, Bengtsson’s new track is a catchy country number that sets us up well for the summer season.
Malik Harris – “Daydreaming”
Malik Harris has his head in the clouds. The German singer is “Daydreaming” due to a special person he has on his mind. That girl is his childhood love, Betsi Hesse, who Malik is now in a full relationship with. The Eurovision 2022 alum can’t believe he’s hit the jackpot: “Waking up feels like I‘m daydreaming / You calling me your lover can’t be real / I think it’s crazy to know / The most beautiful girl / In this whole world / Has her arms round my shoulder.”
Aiko – “Mi Amor”
Czechia’s Aiko may not have taken home the Eurovision 2024 trophy, but she won something even more precious — the heart of Kat Almagro, MEGARA’s drummer at the time. The pair worked together on a submission for Benidorm Fest 2025, but sadly it didn’t make the cut. Nevertheless, we now get to hear the results of their work thanks to the release of “Mi Amor” (“My Love”).
We have to wait a little longer for the full Spanish rendition. In the meantime, Aiko has shared the English version: “Mi amor, mi amor, when you walk through the door / Mi amor, mi amor, I can’t walk straight no more / Amor, mi amor, I like the curve of your body / No man can love me the way you love me.”
Sonic Metaphors feat. Ronnie Romero – “Facedown”
Sonic Metaphors is a collaborative hard rock project led by Danish musician Torben Madsen. The latest single, “Facedown,” features lead vocals courtesy of Ronnie Romero — Bulgaria’s Eurovision 2022 singer as part of Intelligent Music Project. The song delves into the topic of toxic environments that appear on social media platforms.
Anna Sahlene – “Everything Is Nothing” & “Always Lookin'”
Anna Sahlene is opening up her Pop Box again and adding two new additions. Estonia’s Eurovision 2002 bronze medallist previously had three songs in this EP but has now extended it further.
Both “Everything Is Nothing” and “Always Lookin'” hark back to a 2000’s pop sound, giving Sahlene’s fans a nostalgic reminder of her Eurovision appearance.
Tim Schou – “Demons”
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2025 runner-up, Tim Schou, has another musical offering for us. An acoustic guitar-driven song, the Eurovision 2011 alum uses it to warn people about his “Demons.” It’s centred around a time when the Danish singer felt like he wasn’t worth loving and had to push love away: “Don’t say you wanna lie in my arms when I sleep / Don’t say it cause you know it’s all that I’ll ever need / You don’t wanna step into this bed with me and all my demons.”
Magazin – “Voljela sam”
Following on from their appearance at Dora earlier this year, Magazin have now dropped the new single “Voljela sam” (“I loved”). Croatia’s Eurovision 1995 act, with new singer Lorena, give us a dramatic tale of broken hearts.
The story of the song becomes clear in the accompanying music video, where Lorena searches a cruise ship for her lover, only to find him embracing another woman.
Jala Brat, Buba Corelli & Gims – “Don Diego (Rmx)”
Bosnia & Herzegovina meets France for this collaboration. Eurovision 2016 rapper Jala Brat, alongside Buba Corelli, has joined forces with French-Congolese superstar Gims.
“Don Diego” originally comes from Gims’ 2024 album LE NORD SE SOUVENT: L’ODYSSÉE, where he included it as a solo song. The two Bosnian rappers have now added their own touch to the track by including their own verses, with Brat rapping: “Oh, damn it woman / In a Ferrari, driving to you, two hundred through red lights / Always risking, my gang’s rolling with Lucifer tonight / Running for those digits as if we’re down in the red.”
Anxhela Peristeri & Ard x Mirdon – “A ke mendu”
“A ke mendu” (“Have you thought”) about Anxhela Peristeri lately? Albania’s Eurovision 2021 representative puts herself back in our minds with her new song. She’s teamed up with musical duo Ard Gashi and Mirdon Pacolli for a mid-tempo offering.
In the lyrics, they sing: “I’ll pay for how much you hurt me / And now someone else will take it back / You’ll understand that I won’t enjoy / Even one minute in this life / Have you thought that this day will pass.”
Sofi Marinova & SYPER SA6 – “Моето момче”
Sofi Marinova’s latest single is a collaboration with fellow Bulgarian artist SYPER SA6. It’s a glancing visit from the Eurovision 2012 star — after delivering some intro riffs, you’ll have to wait until the 2:35 mark before she returns for her own lines. “Моето момче” (“My boy”) is a song about a love left in the middle of a friendship.
Which of these new songs is your favourite? Have we missed out on any? Do you have any artists you want to shout out to? Let us know in the comments.
Vesna / Tautumeitas – Kankles (same word in Lithuanian btw) sounds so cool
VESNA ?
Vesna & Tautumeitas = amazing song. On repeat.
