The Eurovision 2025 season is now in full swing and no doubt fans will have the songs from this year’s contest on repeat until we crown a winner in May. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests – they’re still bringing us a lot of new music to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 18 part 2

With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 1 here.

Ziferblat – Of Us

Before they represent Ukraine in this year’s edition of Eurovision, Ziferblat have shared a new album. Their latest release features seven tracks, including their Eurovision entry, “Bird of Pray,” presented in its official Eurovision revamp, and the heartfelt ballad “Place I Call Home,” the song with which they competed in last year’s Vidbir, where they finished as runners-up.

All the songs on the album are in English, blending powerful instrumentals with poetic lyrics. Some tracks, like “City” and “Good Boy, Good Girl,” carry a groovy retro-glam vibe, while others, like “Reachin’ Out” and “Victoria” deliver emotional depth that strikes right at the heart.

The album is a journey, featuring songs that reflect on life as a gift, overcoming fear, and embracing one’s true self. The title track, “Of Us,” is a powerful rock ballad meditating on life, time, and people, infused with nostalgia and flickers of optimism buried in deep darkness, with lyrics like: “Well, I may be a little wary / But my journey’s ending here / My songs remain unwritten / Guess that’s what I’ll ever leave / You’ve chosen me again, I promise it is not for nothing / Darkest hour’s always just before the dawn.”

The band shared that this album represents their first serious attempt to make their voices heard beyond Ukraine:

“Our first English-language work, which was created in the shortest possible time of music making. This forced us to make a minimum of adjustments, mostly presenting everything to you as it is. And it’s great that everything turned out exactly like this with this material. I think you know what kind of help we need: distribution to a European audience, listening and your reactions. This is, without a doubt, our first important attempt to be heard outside of Ukraine.”

Connect-R, Alex Velea & Smiley – “Așa Ceva”

Connect-R, the Romanian artist who represented Moldova in Eurovision 2006 alongside Natalie Gordienko and Arsenium, has reunited this week with fellow Romanian artists Alex Velea and Smiley. The trio shares a long-standing creative bond, often referred to as a brotherhood, having collaborated since the early days of their careers.

Smiley, in fact, has his own Eurovision connection. In 2007, he was set to represent Romania together with his former band Simplu and singer Andra. However, Romania was disqualified that year following a controversy surrounding their song.

Their latest release, titled “Something Like This,” is a full-on Balkan glam anthem. The track brims with Balkan influences both in sound and visuals, a vibrant return to their cultural roots. The lyrics are playful and flirtatious, cantered around an encounter with a captivating woman: “Wait, let me climb on the sofa / To increase the visibility / I take out my phone and zoom on you / It never seen something like this before  (…) If I don’t leave with you tonight / I’ll go home with your photo.”

Connect-R also incorporates elements of the Romani language in the lyrics, a nod to and celebration of his Romani heritage.

THE ROOP – Momentum

THE ROOP represent Lithuania in Eurovision 2021, and this year, they are one of the confirmed interval acts for Eurovision 2025 in Basel. While preparing to return on the Eurovision stage, THE ROOP dropped a brand-new album and an accompanying music video.

The album captures the signature danceable energy that fans love about the trio, infused with a retro spark and occasionally a more experimental electronic sound. Across the 10 tracks, upbeat and feel-good songs dominate, “Nasty” and “Kiss You” are just two perfect examples. For those seeking a more melancholic sound, “I Love You I Don’t Need You” and the closing track “Heartache” offer a darker contrast. Meanwhile, “Blue Jeans” brings a savage sound.

The biggest surprise, however, might be “Chica Chico,” a vibrant Latin-inspired track sung in Spanish. Unexpected, fresh but entirely welcome, the song seems to be fit perfectly for THE ROOP, showing again their versatility. Their entry from Eurovizija.LT 2024, “Simple Joy,” also finds a place on the album.

The new music video for “Steal Me” creates a striking visual contrast between grey shades and bursts of colour, highlighting the song’s message about how love can bring meaning to life. With a sensual sound and romantic lyrics, it explores how, no matter how carefully you plan your life, destiny may surprise you with someone who makes you want to be “stolen away” and held forever.

Miki Núñez & ESTHER – “Des d’aquí dalt”

Miki, who represented Spain at Eurovision in 2019, returns this week with a fresh new collaboration featuring ESTHER. Their latest track, “From Up Here,” blends retro dance vibes with a sleek, modern radio-ready sound. The song explores the theme of dreams—specifically, the shared dreams of both artists to reach where they are today and to keep striving for more.

The accompanying music video reflects on their journeys, offering glimpses into personal and professional milestones from their careers. The song captures those moments when life unfolds differently than expected, and the comfort of having someone who truly understands you becomes essential. As the lyrics express: “Give me your hand / Make me fly / Rise with me / Let’s knock down / All those monsters in my head that / I’ve told you about.”

Jill Johnson – “While you got me”

Jill, who represented Sweden at Eurovision in 1998, has embraces a strong focus on country music—and her latest release is no exception. This week’s song tells the story of a free-spirited woman journeying from town to town, with her boots “made to run.” She urges her cowboy to hold her close while he still can, as it’s uncertain when she’ll return to his town, leaving once the dawn breaks.

Set to a joyful, upbeat country rhythm, the track reflects on the unpredictable nature of life. Jill sings about how the future is a mystery—you never quite know where the road will lead or when the urge to finally settle down might come.

TALI – WANDER

TALI, who represented Luxembourg at Eurovision last year, just dropped a brand new seven-track album—and it’s seriously personal. She calls it “a ripped page from her diary,” and honestly, that’s exactly what it feels like. Every track hits close to the heart, with the album wrapping up on a powerful note with the revamped version of her Eurovision song “Fighter,” which marks an important moment in her journey.

You’ll also recognise the previously released singles “Dear Parents,” her emotional open letter to her parents, and “So Far So Good,” her collab with Sean Biopcik that’s been stuck in our heads since day one.

The whole album brings a unique indie pop vibe, where tracks like “Blue Turns to Gray” and “A Little Better” are raw and real pieces of her heart. TALI’s not afraid to show the messy, vulnerable parts, which makes the tracks feel super relatable. On the flip side, “Je Ne Sais Quoi” is pure confidence, an uplifting banger about staying in your lane and owning it.

The opener, “Lemon Lime,” is such a mood. It’s got this perfect alt-pop sound, and a music video is on the way. The song’s about falling for someone who totally messes with your head, but in the most addictive way. It’s bittersweet, but she’s not ready to walk away… She kinda likes the way they in which that person “wastes her time.”

ela. – “Blauen Paneten”

Back in 2014, ela. represented Germany at Eurovision. This week, she’s back with her newest pop single, “Blue Planet.” The song dives into the emotional aftermath of a breakup, capturing the feeling of two people left blue. Despite its upbeat, energetic sound, the lyrics tell a deeper story—one of missed chances and emotional confusion. It’s about the one who’s left behind, heartbroken and searching for clarity: “I have no idea if this is love / But it hurts like hell / My heart now has a huge crack / Tell me it will pass / Is anyone there, can anyone save me? / I feel lost on a blue planet.”

BERMUDU DIVSTŪRIS – FLAMINGO

BERMUDU DIVSTŪRIS, who competed for Latvia at Eurovision 2011 under the name Musiqq, are back with a long-awaited album, with 14 Latvian tracks ready to ignite any party. Fans were already teased with previously released bangers like “MINIMUS” and the title track “FLAMINGO” (a collab with DJ Guano), both setting the tone for what’s a full-on celebration.

The album is packed with high-energy party anthems, from “KIRDIK” (Game Over) to “LATVIAN BOOGIE” and “DIBENA DEJA” (Butt Dance), alongside harder-hitting rap tracks like “RUDENS DUBĻOS” (In the Autumn Mud). There’s even a moment of nostalgia and cultural homage in “EŅĢEĻI” (“Angels”), which sends us back to the essence of traditional Latvian music.

They’ve also brought a few friends to the party: Žoržs Siksna features on “MAGIC PEOPLE”, and Grēta joins them on “CUKURVATE” (Candy Jar), adding even more flavour to the mix.

The only country-inspired track, “TEST DRIVE”, is a collaboration with Apvedceļš and comes with a wild music video that takes you from Titanic to Squid Game. Even if you don’t speak Latvian, you will know it’s a song about being heartbroken as it’s crystal clear from the visuals.

Mandinga & Alejandro – “Nadie Mas”

Mandinga, who represented Romania at Eurovision back in 2012 with Elena Ionescu as their lead vocalist, have gone through some changes since then. After Elena embarked on a solo career, the beloved band welcomed Barbara as their new frontwoman.

This week, they’re back with a fresh release: a heartfelt collaboration with Alejandro titled “No One Else.” The song is a romantic Latin ballad that speaks about finding that one special person—the one who feels like home. It’s all about realising you don’t need to keep searching when the right person has been by your side all along: “There’s no one else who looks at me the way you do / There’s no one else who loves me the way you do (…) There’s no one else like you and me.”

Birthe Kjær – “Lad Det Ske”

The legend of Danish music, Birthe, who represented Denmark at Eurovision in 1989, is back with a brand new track titled “Let It Happen.” With her unmistakable voice, Birthe invites us into her musical world, one that sparkles with retro glam and a touch of magic. The song has a dreamy, almost enchanting sound.

Hooverphonic & Barbara Dex

This week brings a brand new episode of the Belgian music show Liefde voor Muziek, featuring Hooverphonic (Belgium’s Eurovision representatives in 2020 and 2021) and Barbara Dex (Belgium 1993). The spotlight this week is on Dutch artist Guus Meeuwis, known both for his solo work and as part of the band Vagant. The participating artists each put their own spin on his songs, adding new life and colour through their covers.

Hooverphonic chose a playful and upbeat song this week, giving a fresh take on “Per Spoor (Kedeng Kedeng)” (By Train), a 1996 hit well known in both Belgium and the Netherlands. Their version is in English and leans into a retro Nederpop vibe, with Geike’s unique voice adding a sensual layer. While the original chorus mimics the rhythmic, slightly annoying sound of a train, the lyrics tell a whimsical love story: traveling by train with a racing heart to meet your loved one, only to arrive in an empty station where nobody’s waiting for you. But it turns out to be a prank: the lover was just hiding nearby for fun, and the lyrics suggest that the love story continued in the night.

Barbara Dex delivered a heartfelt ballad this week, reimagining “Dat Komt Door Jou” (That’s Because of You), originally released by Guus Meeuwis in 2009. Barbara first heard the song on the radio at her boutique in Mol and was instantly captivated. The lyrics express deep gratitude toward the person who brings meaning and strength into your life. Interestingly, Meeuwis’s version is itself a Dutch adaptation of the Italian song “A Te” (To You) by Jovanotti, released in 2008.

MARO & Mariana Nolasco – “do raso ao fundo”

MARO, who represented Portugal at Eurovision in 2022, returns with a stunning duet alongside Mariana Nolasco. Their new song is accompanied by an artistic black-and-white music video and features poetic lyrics that draw a beautiful comparison between love and the depths of water. The track flows effortlessly as a vocal harmony between the two artists, delivering a message about vulnerability and courage: even when the unknown feels frightening, it’s worth diving into the depths of love.

Speaking about the message of the song, the artists said:

“This song is for those who have already dived too far, for those who are still afraid of their own depths, for those who know that love sometimes hurts but it is also what heals.”

Biba feat. Sara Jo – “Nikad Dosta”

Sara Jo, known for being part of the Serbian trio Moje 3 who competed in Eurovision 2013, is back with a bold new release. Her latest track, “Never Enough,” is a collaboration with Biba, blending a savage hip-hop vibe with Sara’s warm, soulful vocals and Biba’s addictive rap flow. The song is structured as a dialogue between lovers, exploring the tension and expectations in a relationship.

Olta Boka – “O Bir”

Olta, who represented Albania at Eurovision in 2008, returns with a heart-warming new release just in time for summer. Her latest track, “Oh, Son,” is a joyful celebration of family and motherhood, blending upbeat summer vibes with touches of traditional Albanian sound. The song is dedicated to the youngest member of her family—her son Brel—and overflows with love and blessings from the entire family. Accompanied by an adorable music video featuring Olta and her children, the song is a beautiful tribute to the bond between a mother and her kids.

maNga – “Bergüzarım”

This week wraps up with a powerful rock release from maNga, the iconic band that represented Türkiye at Eurovision in 2010. Known for their unique fusion of genres, maNga returns with a brand-new track that echoes the sound of their beloved album Şehr-i Hüzün (City of Sadness), blending rock, rap, and symphonic elements. The lyrics tell the story of a soul lost on the shores of separation, struggling to break free: “Tell me what’s on your mind / Hit me one last time, let the torture end / I’m already in pieces.”

The music video brings the song to life with a bold visual style inspired by Japanese manga, perfectly complementing the intensity of the track.
