Get ready to damage your vocal chords by shouting BIGGERRRR because 2019’s iconic UK’s entrant Michael Rice will be appearing at London Eurovision Party 2024! His song “Bigger Than Us” got Brits singing along to the anthem…loudly. And we can’t wait to bring this back in 2024 at Here At Outernet.
It is tradition that the previous year’s UK act returns to London Eurovision Party 12 months later. As Michael competed in 2019, he never got that opportunity in 2020. We are thrilled to announce he will be back with his powerhouse vocals to perform his Eurovision entry from 2019, as well as some surprises!
Who is Michael Rice?
Michael is a singer from Hartlepool in the north of England. He won in inaugral series of BBC singing show All Together Now – getting 100% of judges to vote for him in his first round rendition of “Proud Mary”. He went on to compete at Eurovision, where the result wasn’t as hoped, but this didn’t deter his fans. He has a loyal base of Eurofans who have followed his journey thereafter, including supporting his singles such as “Boy I Used To Know” and “Think Of Me”.
He has in recent times announced he is a contestant on American Idol for the 22nd season currently airing. We are yet to see his audition, but it’s so exciting to see Michael thrive ‘across the pond’. He has plenty of new music coming soon, and speaking to Wiwibloggs, Michael said:
I’ve got really personal, dug deep and really opened up my heart about my past, gorwing up up North and my life until this point. I’ve never really spoken about my personal life before, so I’m excited to let my fans and my new listeners into my story and share this new journey with them.
We can expect deep lyrics and perfectly hit notes in among the emotion. He says he has been working with some incredible songwriters and producers across Europe and more recently America. His first release of the year will be arriving in the coming weeks, which is great news for his listeners! Michael says he is exctied for this years Eurovision in Malmö, and he can’t wait to dance and meet everyone at this year’s London Eurovision Party!
London Eurovision Party 2024
The London Eurovision Party is the biggest annual Eurovision event in the United Kingdom.
The party will see a majority of artists from the year of 2024, but joining them will be some Eurovision alumnis too. This year the party celebrates its 15th edition at Here at Outernet in the UK capital.
Here at Outernet is a large concert venue right in the beating heart of London. It is known for its artistic styling and modern spaces. The London Eurovision Party will provide an excellent chance for a British audience to see their favourite acts before the contest itself.

He is still around then. Really hate this Swedish reject song. Did him no favours. Everytime i hear the constant repeat BIGGER i think of someone serving in McDonalds asking do you want to go BIGGER than what you have ordered! Pleased to read he didn’t end up there! (no disrespect to McDonalds workers)
