More Melodifestivalen stars took to the Sommarkrysset stage. The latest show saw young soul diva Molly Pettersson Hammar and multi-ethnic band Panetoz do their thing, as well as the very welcome return of the fab trio Timoteij.
Molly Pettersson Hammar
She might have cruelly missed out on a place in the Melfest final this year (we’re still recovering from the shock), but Molly Pettersson Hammar showed that she’s still got it. She performed her new single “Something Right”, showing off her impressive vocal range.
Panetoz
The multi-ethnic band, who were Melodifestivalen finalists in 2014, performed their new single “Norge”, a lively ode to dancing with their Nordic neighbour.
Timoteij
The last time we saw this fab trio was in Dublin, when they provided backing vocals for Erika Selin in the Irish national final. Timoteij are back to doing their own thing, with new single “Milky Way”. It mixes up some Avicii-style electro-folk with Timoteij’s folk-pop.
Coming up
Next week’s show stars Eric Saade, who’ll be bringing his sting to the Sommarkrysset stage, and the following week there’ll be a hearty dose of lady pop from Mariette, Little Mix and Zara Larsson.
18 July: Eric Saade, Little Jinder and Tony Irving.
25 July: Ola Salo, Mariette, Little Mix and Zara Larsson.
1 August: Medina, Samuel Ljungblahd, Brolle & Nanne Grönvall.
8 August: Samir & Viktor, Sabina Ddumba, and Partaj.
15 August: Darin, Loreen, Bo Kaspers Orkester, and Brynolf & Ljung.
Little Jinder! <3
She may participate in Melodifestivalen 2016?
New Timoteij’s song is really underwhelming. I think it won’t chart. They need MF ASAP to get back on their track.
