She’s already the most viewed Junior Eurovision 2015 star on YouTube, so Serbia’s Lena Stamenkovic had a lot to live up to during her first rehearsal. And boy did she impress! Her staging fits in nicely with the themes of suffering and hope in her song “Lenina Pesma”.
As the song opens, we’re greeted to a desolate backdrop of grey skies, snow and barren trees (yes, yes, more Eurovision trees). But as Lena picks up pace, it explodes into a collection of “shining” red diamonds before these too transform into a skyscape of glittering lights. Lena looks stunning in a red gown, which matches her staging perfectly. Vocally, the girl was flawless. Some had questioned her ability to reach those high notes, they needn’t have worried. All in all, it feels very Polina Gagarina, but with considerable more sass. And remember how well she did!

Another quick observation-I wish they have stayed away from religious symbology-putting the stygmata marks on the wrists of an 11year old child is taking it too far. I also agree that the red is too much. The music is beautiful and until the staging here the balance was perfect…
Since this song came out, it has been and remains my favorite. The best song in terms of originality and composition, great vocals and confident performance from Lena, and subject matter that deserves our attention. Love it, love it, love it. This is a song that will be listened to and performed, well after the rest are forgotten.
I wish they had more colors than red, because in the song, when she says “hiljadu raznih boja”, she is singing about a thousand different colors. However, all the red leaves a strong impression and I think will be memorial.
Absolutely brilliant!!
Definitely the best voice this year
What a stunning performance !
I hope people won’t forget it, because she deserves 1500000 times the victory than Australia or Malta… (even if Malta is my 2nd favourite)
Excellent. Fantastic voice with a great presentation, really emotional. My favorite didn’t let me down! I think Serbia will have a place in the top 5.
Such a beautiful song this one is, I hope that considering the draw it will still be remembered by the end of the night. While I think that my other favorite songs are going for a top 3 finish (Malta and Armenia), I’m slightly worried for Serbia. It’s a ballad year.
