With the Melodifestivalen 2016 final just two days away, 17-year-old Frans remains firmly on top of the betting odds. The “If I Were Sorry” singer has a decent lead at every European betting agency, with his odds at 2/5 at Bet365, Ladbrokes and Betfair. His train seems virtually unstoppable — even if our in-house panel of international jurors is firmly divided over his performance.
And while he is holding steady, there is movement down below. Nineteen-year-old Wiktoria, who was down as fifth favourite just two days ago, has sashayed past Molly Sanden and Robin Bengtsson to become second favourite. Her odds are currently 5/1 at Bet365, William Hill and Betfair.
Robin Bengtsson and Molly Sandén are close behind, with their odds both hovering around 6/1.
Panetoz are my favorites, but I would be totally cool with Wiktoria winning too. Anyway, all songs are decent and probably none of them would place below 20’th spot on my list.

@AG No one else around the world likes the song? HAHA do some research PLEASE! Just look at the Spotify and other charting stats. Not popular outside Sweden? What a joke.
This the usual case on Wiwibloggs every year. You guys are just so scared of Sweden because you know deep inside that Frans has the momentum right now and you just don’t want Sweden to send a possible threat to Eurovision.
The reason Fran’s is doing well is because Sweden only get exposed to Swedish Artists that are pop and generic this Osbert many don’t do well world wide as they don’t have a unique sound. Look at avicci when you listen to his songs you know that is his music that’s why he does so well. That being said international wise Fran’s isnt anything special just an average song that many of Europe has heard before it might stand out being covered in Ballard’s depending on what the other countries choose. Is they send strong ballads. Watch out for Azerbaijan… Read more »
On the Facebook page, it looks like Swedes are now starting to become aware that no one else around the world likes Frans’ song…
There is really an anti-wave going on against Frans as well in Sweden right now. He has many votes and likes on websites but the comments are not very positive. We’ll see how that will reflect on Saturdays televoting.
To stop Frans from winning the international juries need to somewhat agree on who to place first. Which can be difficult.. And their number one must get many points in the televote as well. Frans must fail with the juries too.. that’s certain.
frans cant win he’ll get slammed at esc
Oscar or Molly FTW.. or maybe Robin
Frans would be a disappointing winner…Wictoria also. I really hope the juries kill them off
All I know is that one of either Frans, Oscar, Wiktoria, Ace, Molly and Robin will win.. who it finally will be is the question… interesting!
It is really hard to predict.
If Frans wins this is going to end up like Robin did back in 2013.
Frans and Wiktoria are my faves, but my love for Frans has cooled down since his song is too blatantly inspired by Catch & Release. And Save Me makes me happier.
Many greeting from Österikke
If Sweden will fail, Azerbaijan will be last chance for good entry for ESC 2016.
@Colin: Don’t be surprised if the outcome is what nobody expects. I think the jury is going to go all over the place (which could hurt Frans), and if the televotes are THISCLOSE (especially the top 3 or 4), the unexpected COULD happen.
Sorry. Not last. 11th.
I’m not surprised she’s second. Killer-performance and voice, her look is awesome, she really knows how to work the cameras. The song+performance is my 2nd favourite after Oscar. And performing last will be a great advantage
I didn’t like “If I Were Sorry” the first time I heard it, but when I gave the song another listen I actually really liked it. It’s simple, but it’s rather different from the other songs in the final so it definitely stands out, plus Frans’ charisma and charm also help. As for Wiktoria, I find her very overrated. The song sounds really dated, and the LED effects she has going on can’t really change that. Same goes to Molly S, very overrated and her song does nothing to me. My personal winner would be Oscar. This is probably the… Read more »
I’m happy to hear that Wiktoria is in 2nd. Still hoping it will be between her, Ace or even Molly!
My TOP 5
1.Wiktoria
2.Robin
3.Ace
4.Oscar
5.David
6.Boris Rene
7.Panetoz
8.Molly
9.Frans
10.Samir and Viktor
11.Lisa
12.Saraha
Isa who failed in second chance was my second favorite to win MF 2016
Even a speech made by Donald Trump is more interesting than Frans’ song.
Sweden is about to make a big mistake
I still believe that this is the year Ace Wilder will win! SaRaHa has improved loads!
who cares about melodifestiboring? Spain’s video is out! 😀
Barei’s official video clip for ‘Say Yay!’ has been released!

Really? With all the songs Wiktoria? She does a wonderful job singing it but the song is just weak.
Maybe Estonia will not win this time, but the rest will be similar.
Eurovision 2016 will be similar to Eurovision 2001. This is throwback 15 years behind.
@Sophie
Absolutely agree, that would be my Top 2 as well. There is a severe lack of fun songs this year, all are ballads, rock, alternative or mostly mid-tempo pop. I would be happy with Panetoz or Samir & Viktor, although I’m not holding my breath.
Ace just have to win.
I feel that since Sweden are the hosting country they should send something ‘fun’ for a change. Panetoz or Samir & Viktor’s songs come to mind (Keep them in Swedish also) .. Although if they still want to go down the same route.. Wiktoria or Ace to win for me!
idiodds
I still believe the Jury will praise Wiktoria and probably not Frans.
Still believe that this is a close race.
Frans song is weird. It sounds like it was written (especially the rhymes) by a 12 year old BUT Frans still manages to put so much charm into it, that it works in a very special way. Still this doesnt deserve to win the ESC.
