Starting at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, country spokespersons now only reveal the points from their national — not the combined jury and televote. That segment is followed up with the televote reveal.
It was a move born to make the revelation of the winner more dramatic (In recent years, as with Loreen and Emmelie de Forrest, the winner was already known before voting had finished). The new system has most definitely worked. As you can see in the video below from Kyiv, we were on the edge of our seats until the very final moment of the points reveal last year.
In any case, here is the order in which the country spokespersons will reveal the jury points. You might recognise some names as former Eurovision contestants, national finalists, and TV presenters.
Among the big names are former Westlife member Nicky Byrne (Ireland), Eurovision 2009 co-host Alsou (Russia) and Eurovision alums Jana Burceska (Macedonia), Tako Gachechiladze (Georgia), Naviband (Belarus), OG3NE (The Netherlands) and JOWST and Aleksander (Norway) and Hovig (Cyprus).

Before you start analysing to see who will get what points based off regional voting blocks, although this was revealed today, the running order had been set for some weeks now. So it’s hard to predict any sort of pattern based on what would create an exciting show and make the race look tight.
After the jury votes are delivered by the national spokespersons, the results of the televote will be revealed by the presenters from least points to highest points. After the final tally we’ll have a winner.
Which of these former contestants do you want to see back at Eurovision? Who do you think will win the Jury vote? Let us know in the comments section below.

Ridiculous list. The Juries are not SO disconnected from the general public. Cyprus and Israel and Estonia and Lithuania and France way higher.
Well first 12 points will go to Moldova
or Lithuania. Ukraine’s jury gave 12 to Lithuania in 2016.
Exactly. Moldova has not jury-friendly song (just like Russia 2016 or Romania 2017 it will receive more points from televoting than from juries, I believe). On the other hand, ballads always do great with the juries, so I would bet that these 12 points from Ukraine will go to Lithuania
Omg guys Arsen Grigoryan is KAMIL. Yay finally justice for KAMIL at Eurovision.
I m quite sure that jury 8 or 10 or 12 points go to Austria from Estonia ( in first semi 12 went to Austria 100% because all members had only good comments about this song). Lithuania and Finland scored high points as well.
Let’s bet
The EBU decided to place the Israeli and Cypriot delegations one next to the other in the greenroom tonight! Sign for whats to come?
of course i said. EBU is smart. Cyprus is the 1st and Israel is the 2nd. Who cares about the 3rd now??
Fuego only!
Nicosia 2019
I am so so happy. 3 hours left before fuego takes higher all the Europeans!
Nicosia 2019
Calm down Elfi- you need pillow for tonight becauze Cypros will flop dramatically 🙂
Does anyone how the standing audience will see the ongoing results? Throughout the week there’s been no screens for people to see…
How is the reveal order determined?
They tend to be placed at random, except for the first and last spokesperson where it tends to be the previous and present host respectively.
No you are wrong.. It is an algorithm that places the spokespersons after how the countries voted. For best effect
Actually the algorithm is no more. It was used up til 2015. And it was based on how the jury voting went.
But since changing system back in 2016 I haven’t heard about an algorithm being used.
They should’ve got Queen Valentina to be the Sammarinese spokesperson.
I do feel that it is a waste of time showing and introducing the spokespersons, and then letting them say their bit. It would be better just have have simply them read their votes off screen, as before. Especially now that this element is only half the story.
The presentation of the jury points has been part and parcel of what makes this Eurovision at its core, in addition, they add an element of suspense, which is much more the case now that both sides of the votes are read separately.
The split vote reveal has helped quicken the process. There’s been fewer “Thank you so much for a fantastic show”s since, though some spokespersons still manage to sneak it in 😀
Albania always has the same person, how about changing it up? blah
Albania won jury final…
We all will find out tonight.
yes … i put 100 euro with eurobet for him
Don’t gamble lol
It’s my dream, but I don’t think so.
He’s top 5 for sure!
Think Lithuania have won jury final…
Greece, Azerbaijan, Israel, Armenia, Albania are definitely going to give Cyprus 12 points.
Cyprus will give 12 points to Israel
Maybe United Kingdom, some of the Nordics and Baltics MIGHT throw some points to Ireland.
It will be interesting to see how Russia, Belarus, Georgia vote…probably Moldova or Lithuania.
I think Russia and Belarus will give 12p to Estonia since Elena is of Russian nationality
Belarus might also vote for Norway.
Russia and Belarus give 24 points to Moldova , no chance to Estonia (country in EU, NATO and with anti russia histeria from 1944 tili now)., and many points wil go to Norway (Alexander is born in Belarus, he have song in russian…). Albania 22 points to Italy (12 juries, 10 televote), Cyprus 22 points (10 juries, 12 televote because Greek in Albania will vote for Cyprus. I think Albania diaspora votes wili split to Albania, Italy, Cyprus. Because maybe many votes will go to Cypurs (because she is favorite for win, and Albanians want to have winner , no… Read more »
I think the Russian jury would- she might be able to capture the Russian diaspora votes to an extent as well.
albania do 12 italy and 10 cyprus for shure
Albania always gives Italy 12 points. Every year. I don’t see that changing this year.
As for Cyprus why would they give points to someone who hid her roots and didn’t want anything to do with it?
She’s from Albania, We can not try to judge her past and her mistakes about lying when she was younger. She made a lot of mistakes, but she is a good person. Albanians can understand and still accept her and will vote for her tonight.
but she is not a winner
albania won
12 to Italy, 10 to Cyprus.
No Lee Lin Chin this year?? Eurovision 2018 is officially cancelled
It’s only the other guy because he is Portuguese. Lee Lin Chin will be back next year.
I hope this is last time to see EBU baby in contest and countries who are with Sweden most overrated in juries points, draw for performance…. Circle is made, Jessica was guest in semi final in 2014, they partipated as guest 2015 (EBU lies us , only one year and only in 2016 if they win). Jessica sing for Australia 2018 and circle is made, from guest to partipante.
I don’t think you can read in anything from the jury order. You could in the past when it was decided by algorithm and combined voting. That’s how I sort of figured out Måns could win. Now with changed system and only jury voting announced it is a lot trickier. By having last year’s host first and the host last yo can’t guess..
Armenia-Bulgaria-Greece in a row makes me think that Cyprus will catch up the top positions later.
Slovenia, Poland, and Lithuania juries are not particularly fond of dance pop bangers (usually).
But it’s really hard to get something out of that.
