Even technical difficulties couldn’t break a man like him. And just a few weeks on from his performance at Eurovision 2019, Victor Crone is back with new music. For his latest track, he’s teamed up with Estonian DJ Syn Cole on “Discovery”.
Although “Storm” didn’t end on top of the Eurovision scoreboard for Estonia, it still knocked up more than four million streams on Spotify. With a total of nearly 800,000 monthly listeners, Victor now has a solid fanbase.
And sometimes you just have to keep a good thing going. Victor’s new track comes out less than a month after his appearance in Tel Aviv.
“Discovery” is an EDM-friendly upbeat track that comes right in time for this year’s summer season.
While starting off more slowly, it quickly picks up steam. And right when the chorus comes in, the drop brings in an uptempo beat that will resonate with party folks all over the globe.
Lyrically, Victor discusses a relationship that got lost on the way. Singing “I’ve been thinking about it, why don’t you let me back in?”, it becomes clear that something didn’t quite work out. But we can’t blame it on Victor, who’s giving us a song that will surely find its way onto many summer playlists.
Syn Cole & Victor Crone – “Discovery”
The music video for the song sees Victor searching all over for the woman that he let slip away. In the city, the forest, an abandoned building, and a coach car park. The Swedish singer even calls on the help of Syn Cole to help him track down his lost love.
There are a number of shots where we see this woman just a few feet away from Victor. Admittedly if the singer just picked up the pace a bit, instead of slowly ambling along, he would easily catch up with her.
Nevertheless, after spending the entire day chasing after her, Victor eventually comes face-to-face with his love on the beach as the sun is beginning to set.
