Children are the future and a reminder that the gift of life should always be celebrated. And in recent weeks two of Iceland’s most popular ESC stars — the leather-wearing acrobat Klemens Hannigan from Hatari and Eurovision 2009 runner-up Yohanna — became parents for the second time. Congrats, amazing, well done!
Daddy Klemens
On June 25th Klemens Hannigan — the angelic voice from Hatari’s Eurovision 2019 act Hatari — became a father for the second time. His long-time girlfriend Ronja Mogensen gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl in their home with no one present except for Klemens.
As you pick up your jaw from the floor, please note that giving birth in a bathtub at home is nothing compared to Ronja flying all the way to Tel Aviv to support her man whilst on her last trimester of pregnancy. You go girl! I’ve been there and the last trimester isn’t exactly the most pleasant of times.
Klemens is, of course, beside himself with joy. He posted a beautiful photo on Instagram, saying: “Welcome to the world, little mouse. So proud of all my three women. They’re heros!” This little girl is a welcome addition to the family and we just bet that uncle Matthías can’t wait to spoil her and her two-year-old big sister in the years to come with presents and unlimited hugs.
Yohanna’s big day
Yohanna raised a few eyebrows this winter when she posed in a Hatari outfit, heavily pregnant, to express her support for them. It was an amazing photo. And now we can all see the little guy who was part of it — her second child, an adorable little boy, who came into the world on June 19th.
She and her husband Davíð Sigurgeirsson announced the birth in a beautiful Instagram post under the caption: “This little prince is finally here, and we could not be happier”.
The couple also shares a daughter who was born in 2015. She can be seen in the photo, caressing her new baby brother. So cute! This is one beautiful family right there, y’all!
Such gorgeous children and two gorgeous sets of parents. We congratulate both families with all our hearts and maybe, just maybe, we will see those kids enter the big stage in the future.
Hatari killed it on Roskilde wednesday. Next up will be Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg, London, Berlin, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Helsinki, st. Petersburg, Moscow, more to come…(and some local gigs)
Congratulations to both of them!!! 😀 However can someone send me a link in which Yohana is posing in a Hatari outfit?
Klemmens and Mithias are cousins. Baby looks like mt grandaughter wit all that hair *love will prevail*
omg adorable babies congrats Klemmens (my husband bd 25th June) and Johanna. well done daddy midwife klemmens
I thought they were a “Queer BDSM band”.. if he’s not gay who are the gays in this band then? 🙂
Andrean the dancer for sure is, he has a boyfriend.
I wish people (like you) would stop forgetting that bisexuals exist
Andrean is queer and klemmins is possibly bisexual
Aw, I love a baby! I just know Klemens will make a great Dad!
And props for a home delivery! That stuff is messy and scary in equal measure!
Congrats to both of them and seriously, everyone in Eurovision is having babies. The 2040 edition is going to be lit.
Euhm thought he was gay…. Am I the only one?
I thought it too… lol
Yohanna is one of those performers that leave me so frustrated. She has so much talent and looks terrific yet her international career stalled many years ago. One album is plain silly in over 10 years. I feel she never truly realised her full potential. Her happiness is of course far more important. Congratulations to both couples.
this is one of the best posts i’ve seen in a while
Congratulaions to both 😀
Congratulations! And Bar Refaeli is pregnant with her 3rd child. So esc hosts were actually 5 on stage.
This article is very confusing because it sounds like Klemmens and Yohanna were a couple. Or they’re doing a weird co-parenting thing with Ronja and some other guy.
For a second there I thought Klemens and Yohanna are a couple.
That’so sweet, best wishes to our Icelandic stars.
As Matthias said: “Before the hatred prevails, remember to love”.
Congratulations to both! 🙂
Dude looks better without the make-up for sure.
Yohanna is still as gorgeous as ever. Looks like she chose private happiness over a potentially promising career. I never heard from her again, except for the really bad attempt with her man’s song in the 2013 NF. But her kids turned out great!
Yes I agree. Such a shame she hasn’t received the international success she deserves. Her album from 2008 is amazing but what’s just as amazing is that she never followed it up. Over ten years with only a couple of singles is just ridiculous. I predicted a great career for her after that Moscow performance but I was obviously wrong. At least she is happy in what she is doing so that is all that matters. If you can get the chance to listen to Butterflies and Elvis please do so as you won’t be disappointed.
I know that album and I was as stunned as you that nothing happened after that spectacular Eurovision finish. Is it possible she chose not to have a big career and just be happy in private life? Looks like it has worked for her, if that is the case.
Yes that’s exactly what has happened. She does the occasional concert and small gigs which are obviously enough to keep them going financially. Best of luck to them. A lot of artists have the wealth but sacrifice their happiness.
