What do you think of the names revealed so far? Can any of these artists give Sweden a Eurovision win? Tell us your thoughts below!
I’m too shallow person i guess, so many gorgeous men this year in Mellofest *swoon*
hope their songs will be as pretty as their faces, haha
and Dotter is back , I love her so much)))
Dotter returns… let the drama 2020 begin!
Don’t get me wrong, she was my second last year, The Mams my 3rd, but we all know this comment section was way too toxic last year
“Fingerprints” sounds like it could be good…
Danny, Dotter, Anton Ewald, The Mamas, Charlotte Perelli, Kadiatiou. YES i am happy:)
So far, I’m quite excited by this lineup. I have high hopes for Dotter, I absolutely love Bulletproof (Spotify told me today it’s my most streamed song this year) and I don’t think she’d have come back unless her song is anything less than amazing. I read that her song is ‘a modern lullaby’ so I’m dying to hear the song, and I wonder what sort of performance she’s crafted up this time. Can’t wait to find out the last 10 acts!
For me, it’s the second most streamed (beaten by Daði Freyr)
Swedes, please help me. If I my memory serves me right, Anton Ewald was not a graceful loser in 2014, right? Did he not say he would never participate in Mello again? Either he has a great song that is sure to win, or things are really bad commercially….
Haha something about “you either want a pop star or a Sanna Nielson”
So did Danny in 2012. So? i would have been to. Its over now. I am happy both are back:)
Well, he’s been living in the US working as a model and a choreographer mostly..
Nah he truly thought he’d win and almost bashed Sanna the entire finale week, wasn’t funny for him after he came last and she won lmao
Little Tot doesn’t sound like a promising title, but given that she’s the first credited songwriter out of only two for the song, it looks like Dotter will have another emotionally charged bop.
She is bullerproof
But what if the choir (The Mamas) sing forever?
With Anton and Danny back and Eric Saade still rumoured, this ought to be the great battle of the swedish old pop dudes! yIKES but looking forward to it at the same time lol
Anton Ewald is 27.
Eric Saade is 30.
Danny Saucedo is 34.
Nowadays pop stars started form such a very young age. As example Little Mix has been here for 9 years and they’re 28 in average. Yeah, we can pretend 27 is ‘old’.
Compare it to the first time they entered elfest, they were 20, 19 and 23 respectively lol
Old? I’m 31. I should be ancient then..
I’m intrigued by the name of Dotter’s song. It’s not an “impactful” one worded title but something sort of sweet sounding. I wonder what it will sound like!
Sounds like something melanie martinez’esque
Apparently it is what her parents used to call her as a child so it may have some emotion behind it.
I’ve read that the song is about one’s ego..
I already counted 3 mistakes by aftonbladet.
It will be interesting to see who might not join after all
Yeah, it will be interesting comparing rumors with confirmed artists. I am glad that Charlotte Perrelli and Dotter are both in. I expect Mamas and Eric Saade are as well, but we’ll see.
And yeah, I totally see Charlotte doing another ”Party Voice” and I’m totally up for it. I’m not sure would that kind of song win nowadays (maybe…), but going DTF, or even AC would be a pretty solid comeback to ESC audiences. Go, Charlotte!
Which 3? The only name that wasn’t in Aftonbladet reports was Mustasch… I think the rest of them are right.
Oh yeah you’re right.
I thought that Sami and Wahl plus Nathalie were not expected
Shame the mamma are not in it just so unfair that they never got to perform at eurovision
There are still 10 more acts to be announced tomorrow!
the Aftonbladet report mentioned them taking part this year and so far they got almost all the artists right so they might be revealed tomorrow.
Charlotte Perrelli singing a song called “Still Young” is literally the best thing to ever happen.
My cup runneth over
Even better than when her 2012 entry was called “The Girl..
DOTTERDAM might happen
Yes, I hope it happens
I just saw Charlotte Perrelli and I remembered this morning I went through my Spotify Wrapped… And Take me to your heaven was my SECOND most listened song of 2020 LOL
Hehe mine was Dotter! 🙂
She was my 7th actually! First is Anna Bergendahl, 4th is Malou Prytz and 6th Robin Bengtsson. Pretty much very obsessed back then when the songs came out lol, because I didn’t listen to much melfest music at all since April
Charlotte Perelli with a G Son song.. .ehem…
a great thing. Undo was great
Seems like charlotte perelli will come with the new ‘party voice’!
Yay, Dotter is back! I think there is no doubt she is the one to look out for this year! If she and Dino comes up with something as strong as “Bulletproof” then we have a winner. And as a Bosnian myself so nice to see another Bosnian up there. It’s her bf..
Well, the fans here will be happy. It’s the exact same team behind “Bulletproof” so I guess it’s safe to expect something similar.
Yesss , the QUEEN is back!! Go Dotter!
Off topic: Israeli songs are out
where? 😮
Kan website/facebook.
They are all demos without eden voice.
The voting is for the top 2 demos.
So, only 2 finalists, not 3 then?
And if this is KAN’s Facebook, they aren’t here.
https://www.facebook.com/kanipbc/videos
All geo blocked unfortunately
Try using an Israeli vpn. I downloaded one and it seemed to work with me.
The audio won’t work 🙁
Yes I had the exact same issue but it was resolved after downloading the vpn. I just finished listening to all songs, and it seems to be a solid selection, although I’m not sure any of the songs would really top Feker Libi in terms of achieving the best eurovision result
queen dotter is back! yes!!!
Very interesting title for Dotter’s song – “Little tot”
Hmm is she going to do a Beyoncé during the performance and drop the mic and start rubbing her belly infront of the crowd and her songwriter boyfriend haha
I read somewhere that it’s what her parents used to call her as a little girl.
I’m happy for her! By the way the one of two songwriters is Bosnian, interesting
is his bf
i mean her bf
Nice—it’ll be good to see Dotter back, she delivered a strong slice of pop performance last year, love it or hate it, and after everything with covid it’ll be good to have 2020 MF finalists returning in 2021.
MF 2021 looks like it’s shaping up to be the strongest in a few years—based on the line up, along with the rumoured acts. Nice to see that half of the confirmed acts so far are singing in Swedish.
Yeah, it’s noticeable already that there are a lot of songs in Swedish. And it’ll be intriguing to see if Dotter can top “Bulletproof”!
