She’s the Eurovision fan favourite and he’s a voice of BBC Radio 4. Now “Storm” songstress SuRie and radio presenter Paddy O’Connell will join forces to host the London Eurovision Party 2022.
On Sunday 5 April, the dynamic duo will make their return to the UK’s biggest and best Eurovision warm-up party at the Hard Rock Hotel in London. Paddy and SuRie were originally set to host the 2020 party before the event was cancelled.
Essex-born SuRie is a familiar face amongst Eurovision fans. She made her Eurovision debut in 2015 as a backing vocalist for Belgium’s Loïc Nottet, then acted as the musical director for Belgium’s Blanche in 2017. She sang for the UK at Eurovision 2018 in Lisbon, delivering a stunning performance for her country.
Meanwhile, Paddy O’Connell is widely known for his commentary work on Eurovision. He previously provided commentary on the Eurovision semi-finals for Three, and has often teamed up with Radio 2 legend Ken Bruce to share his thoughts on the song contest.
London Eurovision Party 2022
The London Eurovision Party will take place on Sunday 3 April.
The long-running Eurovision promotional event returns after a two-year hiatus to celebrate the stars of Eurovision 2022. As ever, contestants from the current edition of the song contest, along with some surprises from yesteryear, will travel to the British capital from around the continent to showcase their songs in front of international media and some of the contest’s biggest fans.
This year’s event will take place inside the glamorous Hard Rock Hotel — just steps away from Hyde Park.
SuRie and Paddy O’Connell will introduce the London Eurovision Party 2022 acts. The greats of Eurovision past and present will converge in what promises to be an unforgettable night of celebration.

why are the tickets so expensive? i mean it’s just a small venue with no big stage or fancy stuff, it’s as if we’re paying for EUROVISION tickets
Loved Paddy’s commentary for the semis in 2004-10, he was full of knowledge and very relaxed. Wish he was never replaced! His backstage footage and interviews were more fun than anything Scott Mills did since he took over.
Urg, not him again. SuRie is a great choice but he was an abysmal commentator, far too smug and rambling. Puts me off going to this.
