Lithuania continues its search for a new Eurovision star with heat three of Eurovizija.LT 2025. Unlike previous weeks, heat three featured nine new acts competing for a place in the final — that’s one extra act. Only two of these nine hopefuls will return to fight for the ticket to Basel on 15 February in Zalgiris Arena, Kaunas.

The show, as per usual this year, will be presented by Gabriele Martirosian, Nombeko Auguste and Rimvydas Cerniauskas.

You can rewatch Eurovizija.LT online using LRT’s website, as well as on LRT1 or LRT Lituanica. The show starts at 20:00 CET.

Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia always have some modern and futuristic pearls in their NFs.

Eurovizija.LT is improving every year. At least those song that end up in the final.

I always joke that There’s a good national final buried underneath the muck in Lithuania.

So far I haven’t seen any potential winner except for Liepa. Can’t wait to hear her song in the next semis. Hopefully she will deliver good vocals and staging

I am perfectly fine with the Gebrasy and Goya as finalists, but I can see where you’re coming from about the Televote winner not making it through because of a lower jury score. It doesn’t seem fair mathematically.

Seriously messed up that juries have that much power in Lithuania. This is Gebrasy’s weakest song in the Lithuanian national finals so far…

I think it’s one of his stronger ones, but your mileage may vary.

Three songs tied. Then the most reasonable outcome should have been that the jury winner Gebrasy and the viewers winner Black Biceps got the tickets for the NF. When those three songs tied winning one of the groups should have counted more than being 2nd twice. What do Lithuanians who voted for Black Biceps think about this? Wasn’t this a controversial outcome?

hi im from Lithuania there. so the situation is that if the points are equal its gonna be act that got higher points from jury. in this case both Gebrasy and Goya have received 12 and 10 so Black biceps were third in jury wich automatically left they behind no matter the fact they won televote.

Yes, we know. It’s just that the jury getting priority over the televote is not really reasonable.

Why does the jury get to be the tiebreaker instead of the Tele vote in the Lithuanian selection? Has it always been like that, or was that something changed sometime ago? What would it take to change the system?

It have always been in such a way. Also, fake voting has always been a problem in Lithuanian selections where performes pay money for known people (and their friends/relatives) who then buy tons of prepaid simcards and vote for those said performers. It’s totally unrealistic that a relatively unknown band would lead televoting with twice as much televotes as the second place. Lithuanians don’t usually actively vote in heats so it’s very sus.

Isn’t there anything that can be truly done to combat this? I don’t know, maybe have more interesting or better songs in the heats at the start so that you can get more people watching the selection and vote legitimately?

So messed up system, that people pay money and thousands of people opinion does not matter and matters 5 old school guys opinion?

Well, had it happened here in Norway people had been so furious that it could have meant the death of MGP. So this system is unfair. With a tie between three songs the only reasonable outcome should be that the two winners got the NF tickets. How is the reactions in Lithuania tonight? If the comments under the YT video of Black Biceps’ performance is something to go by there are many that are furious. Am I right? Why not protest against such a system? IMO, the only solution is that LRT gives Black Biceps a wildcard to the final.… Read more »

If black biceps were to get a wild card, that’s a Band-Aid solution to gaping wound. Something more fundamental needs to change.

Lithuanians are not happy about this either. As soon as results where announced they flooded LRT facebook comments how it’s not worth voting and that jury is voting for their friends. Honestly this year LRT did so many wrong calls (bringing back jury comments is one of them) after 4 great seasons. I would say I am disappointed in them but that would mean I was proud of them in the first place which is definitely not.

I do not get the math, Biceps almost 3 times more votes than 2nd place, Gebrasy was only 3rd in votes and got 1st ?

Jury is the tie breaker vote if there is a tie. That’s how it is for this selection unless reform is made.

It’s very atmospheric. The chorus is maybe a bit repetative. “My soul awakes, then I dance” is not the hook I needed for a song like this. But it’s easily fixed in a revamp if it did win.

Lithuania generally lets contestants tweak their staging between rounds. I’m hoping if she goes through to the final, they will clean the staging up a bit.

MeidE was really good, but I feel like all the flowers everywhere didn’t quite match the darkness of the tone of the song and staging. Maybe that’s just me not knowing what the lyrics mean and it makes more sense with context.

Yeah, for sure. If it is a case of missing context, the Lithuanian audience might not be as bothered by it. But if it was just questionable choices she could be out.

“Leilydo” is fun but it is also the most generic version of this kind of folkrock possible. I swear I have heard this song before but with harder riffs from multiple bands.

AMARI was a good opener, but I’m not sure the staging concept was perfected. The bits in Lithuanian were magical, but the transition to the more upbeat English sections were a little clumsy
