The Eurovision 2025 season is now in full swing and no doubt fans will have the songs from this year’s contest on repeat until we crown a winner in May. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests – they’re still bringing us a lot of new music to enjoy.

Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.

Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.

New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 11 part 2

With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 1 here.

Marianne Rosenberg entered Germany’s selection for Eurovision 1975 with the schlager song “Er gehört zu mir” (“He belongs to me”). Despite only placing tenth, the single went on to become one of the singer’s biggest hits.

Now, 50 years later, the song is getting a new Eurovision connection. Rosenberg has recorded an updated rendition alongside Conchita Wurst — Austria’s Eurovision 2014 champion. This new version is a more emotional offering, transformed into a ballad with string and piano accompaniment.

Ivana Boom Nikolic & Igor Buzov – “Milano” and “Sub Zero”

There are a plethora of collaborations this week. Two of these come courtesy of Eurovision 2021 star Ivana Boom Nikolic, who has teamed up with rapper Igor Buzov.

The Serbian pair have released “Milano” and “Sub Zero.” Both play into the trap and hip-hop genres, with Nikolic delivering a sultry performance alongside Buzov’s rap focus.

OGENE – Garden of Hera

Eurovision 2017 trio OGENE have been inspired by Greek mythology for their new album. Specifically, The Hesperides — three sister-nymphs who acted as goddesses of the evening, known for their extraordinary singing and being the guardians of the Garden of Hera.

Naturally, the LP includes plenty of vocal harmonies between the Dutch sisters. But each of Amy, Lisa and Shelly also has their own solo song, giving them the chance to shine alone in the spotlight. In a series of social media posts, OGENE shared more about their latest body of work:

“Inspired by the myth and fascinated by the existing overlap with our personal life, we will take the listener from day to night with our music. The album consists of a unique mix of genres with personal and timeless topics, sprinkled with hints to the overall theme. You can find these details in string melodies, lyrical metaphors but mostly, vocal harmonies. This album is the product of our hearts beating as one. The songs grew and flourished out of our dreams, crying-sessions, bursts of laughter, moments of despair and in ultimate joy. We discovered a new level of love for music while working together on the project. It was necessary for us to create, in order to bond with our own true self as artists & individuals, and we are now ready to share it with the world.”

S10 – “Joanne”

There’s just one week to go until S10 drops her new album. To give us one final teaser, the Dutch star has shared another song from the LP — a dynamic alternative pop offering.

The track tells the tale of a woman, seemingly called “Joanne.” She begins the song sat on the lap of a man, but she has no intention of flirting with him: “She wasn’t scared when she shot / She hesitates to run / She screams once very loudly / And then she calms down again / Get out of there / Get out of here / Sorry, f*ck you, God closes his eyes / Life is in balance / They always hate you.”

Nadir Rustamli & Aslixan – “Yalan”

Nadir Rustamli’s first song of 2025 is “Yalan” (“Lie”). Azerbaijan’s Eurovision 2022 representative brings us a tune that layers his powerful vocals over a mixture of string accompaniment and drum machine beats. We then get an additional rap verse courtesy of Aslixan.

In the lyrics, Nadir is pleading with someone to stop pulling the wool over his eyes: “Behind the shadows there is a colourless world full of dreams / One was, one was not, there are memories covered with lies / My battle is over now, believe me, I’m tired of myself / I beg you, do not speak! Don’t fool me! / Don’t lie to me.”

Vesna & Lor – “The Silence & The Storm”

“I lose control / And I can take charge / I’m just two sides of the same coin / I have it all / But I can be an empty well / I’m both the silence and the storm.”

Vesna aim to capture the multifaceted nature of women with their latest song. Czechia’s Eurovision 2023 group are looking into female strength, diversity, and transformation, whether on a physical or mental level. To do this, they’ve joined together with all-female Polish group Lor. The song mixes lyrics in Czech, Polish and English.

“The Silence & The Storm” is the first track from Vesna’s new project. Writing more about these Female Anthems, the group noted on social media:

“We do not seek perfection. We want to be heard. Female Anthems that connect voices across continents. They usher stories that forge their own path. Whether they will be praised or misunderstood, one is certain – this journey is just beginning.”

Charlotte Perrelli – “Ser du månen där du är ikväll”

“Ser du månen där du är ikväll” (“Do you see the moon where you are tonight?”) was first released by Thomas Stenström in 2020. But the melody of the song dates back many more centuries — you may very well recognise it as “Auld Lang Syne.”

Eurovision 1999 winner, Charlotte Perrelli, has recorded a dreamy version of the song with stripped-back production. This acts as a teaser for the Swedish singer’s new album. We don’t have very long to wait for the LP because it’s coming out on Monday.

Ruth Lorenzo – “Justo es”

Disney’s 1937 classic, Snow White, is getting a live action remake. If you go to see the film in Spain, then you’ll hear the voice of Ruth Lorenzo — the Eurovision 2014 star is playing the Evil Queen in the regional dub. As part of this role, Lorenzo performs the new original song “Justo es” (“All Is Fair”).

The original English lyrics read as follows: “If they dare speak up, swat them down / She, with the diamonds, decides / Blessed with grand featurеs like these / Kingdoms hand ovеr their keys / Claim your prize, if you wanna rise, someone’s gotta fall / Darling, all is fair / When you’re the fairest of all.”

ela. & EstA – “So schön wie alle sagen”

ela. was the lead singer of Germany’s Eurovision 2014 group, Elaiza. This week, she’s collaborated with rapper EstA on the new song “So schön wie alle sagen” — “As beautiful as everyone says.” The single blends EstA’s rap verses with a sung chorus from ela., providing a combination of both staccato and legato phrases.

Lyrically, the pair think about someone who has sadly departed this world and all the things that were left unsaid. But, they hope that one day they’ll be reunited: “I don’t know where you are right now / And what it’s like up there? / Is heaven really as beautiful as everyone says? / Maybe I’ll find out one day.”

Dian Solo & Kiki Rubin – “Спри”

Dian Solo may hail from Bulgaria, but he’s using musical influences from a more distant land for this latest song. “Спри” (“Stop”) has a Caribbean flavour to it courtesy of the bachata beat.

The Eurovision 2008 DJ, as part of Deep Zone Project, has brought Kiki Rubin on board to provide vocals. She’s putting a stop to her relationship after finding out her partner was cheating: “You make me breakfast in bed / And you kiss her goodnight / Without even blinking an eye / You think about how to be with the two of us together / Who do you think you are / That you allowed yourself this / Let’s just say stop now / Stop forever.”

Eric Papilaya – “Cosmic Love Parade”

Eric Papilaya represented Austria at Eurovision in 2007. But he’s taking inspiration from even further back in time for his latest single. “Cosmic Love Parade” is a retro funk, nu-disco tune with ’80s vibes.

Papilaya includes a tiny little bit of Austrian German in the lyrics, but the vast majority of the song is in English: “The neon lights make your body glow / And although it’s quite a show / We’re better off to bite our lips / Let’s keep it on the low […] Join in / The beat is breaking bounds / It’s pulling us away / A cosmic love parade.”

Sofi Marinova & Djordan – “В очите ми”

For her latest collaboration, Sofi Marinova — from Eurovision 2012 — has joined forces with Djordan. The two Bulgarian singers have shared “В очите ми,” which translates to “In my eyes.”

A mid-tempo ballad, Sofi and Djordan use the lyrics to discuss their pain when seeing a former lover with someone else: “He will give you what I couldn’t / These in my eyes, they’re not tears, it’s rain / I can’t see my way, how can I continue, tell me? / Take a little of my ‘damned’ heart / Then maybe, I’ll be alive somehow.”

Two-time Eurovision performer for Serbia, Nevena Božović, has recently collaborated with Macedonian jazz guitarist, Vlatko Stefanovski. The pair bring us the steady ballad “Kako živim” (“How I live”).

Accompanied by Vlatko’s guitar line, Nevena sings to her partner. However, the Eurovision alumna is hiding an unfaithful secret from them: “There before my sinful eyes / They see nothing but sadness / How can I forget you / And to calm my soul / Don’t ask my heart / How I live when I don’t live.”

OLAS feat. Justs, Emilija Loze & heywhosthatkid – “Viss, ko gribu”

We end the week with a big party. Justs, who represented Latvia at Eurovision 2016, features on the new song by musical duo OLAS. There are also contributions from Emilija Loze and heywhosthatkid. The group of artists turn up the BPM and deliver a tune to get the club bouncing. “Viss, ko gribu” is indeed “Everything I want” for a great night out.

Which of these new songs is your favourite? Have we missed out on any? Do you have any artists you want to shout out to? Let us know in the comments.
