She recently opened for Eurovision legend Eleni Foureira at her concert in London. And on that magical night Antigoni made it clear Vienna was in her sights.

“It’s my dream to represent Cyprus one day at Eurovision so I’m manifesting,” she told the crowd. “If you wanna spam [Cypriot broadcaster] RIK and send my name that would help.”

Well baby the wait is over. Today Cyprus has confirmed that she will represent the country in Vienna.

Many viewers in the UK will recognise the blonde bombshell from Love Island 2022.

Antigoni sent the men of the house running when she appeared by the pool in a neon turquoise bathing suit asking for iced coffee on Day 19.

Antigoni paired with David and Charlie, but was dumped on Day 25. She was on the same season as Ekin-Su, who previously expressed her desire to sing at Eurovision for the U.K.

Antigoni told fellow housemates that her life revolves around music and food, and that she doesn’t have a specific type when it comes to guys. The common thread is “sauce,” which she said involved their vibe and energy.

Men come and go, but music is her forever.

Her latest single “The Man Behind the Wall” is an emotional ballad that showcases her expressive power and ability to soul search through song. It’s clear our girl has experienced pain and endured: “I stood by your side,” she sings. “You cheated and lied…I felt your heart, I held your pain, but you made me feel so small.”

Antigoni’s official bio

“Born and raised in North London, Antigoni is a Singer & Songwriter with Greek Cypriot roots, making brilliant waves across the world with her unique voice & captivating approach to creating music.”

“Named after her Grandmother, Antigoni signed a publishing deal at age 14, and has since been developing a powerfully original sound that incorporates her cultural roots with her city based surroundings. It’s not uncommon for listeners to note the contrasting influence of Hip-Hop, Pop & Bouzouki music all in a single track of hers. This mix of genres & combining of Antigoni’s worlds, results in a unique new sound but with a universally familiar tone; representing her heritage with a palpable sense of pride over modern soundscapes. Antigoni has grown her audience & solidified herself as an artist to watch, having been a prominent artist in Nikos Vertis’ YTON. Combining this with her incredibly strong voice & evocative lyrics, Antigoni has been touted as a key musician to watch in 2025.”

I understand that Cyprus is a small country, but it’s hard to believe there aren’t Cypriot-born artists worthy of representing it. Choosing a reality show contestant with no music career feels not just misguided, but frankly disrespectful to Cyprus’s own musicians

If person compete in the national final and wins it, then it’s completely fine that even anonymous singer gets to be a representative. However, an unknown person, person who isn’t even born nor is living in their country, person without extensive music career, getting SO MUCH exposure and lots of money that will be invested in that participating, is totally unjustified! It’s clearly unfair and just a business that involves her manager, national delegation and a few others, all corrupted. It pisses me off that established Cypriot singers, living in Cyprus and nurturing their music scene for years aren’t chosen.… Read more »

If CyBC wanted a British artist of Cypriot origin, Artemas would have been a wiser choice

Love Island is sheer trash.

I don’t know this act at all, but I sincerely hope an appearance on that awful, awful show does not count as musical merit or qualification to represent your country.

She looks like a typical British participant in a reality TV show. But it’s unfair to judge someone by 2 photos. I’m waiting for the song.

she is the most classy contestant from Love Island i think, considering she was literally born rich, her mother Tonia is like very popular, lots of connections, been on GBnews recently

Antigoni went to private schools, and has had access to music studio resources from a very young age
