France in Junior Eurovision 2025: Lou Deleuze with “Ce Monde”
Lou is 11 years old and is already a talented singer, songwriter, and performer with impressive experience for her age. Her passion for music developed early on, inspired by her family. She also plays piano and guitar. Lou first gained public attention after impressing everyone with her participation in the televised talent show Incroyable Talent (France’s Got Talent) last year.
Beyond music, Lou is also a successful actress. She began her acting career at just 7 years old, appearing in various short films before moving on to major roles in feature films and television series. In 2023, she received the Unifrance Award for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her performance in Les dents du bonheur by Joséphine Darcy Hopkins.
Outside of her artistic pursuits, Lou enjoys skiing, horse riding, climbing, and circus arts.
Her official music debut came in 2023 with “Désenchantée”, a cover of Mylène Farmer’s classic. She later released an acoustic version of Stromae’s “Papaoutai”, followed in 2024 by “Rêver” (Mylène Farmer). That same year, Lou unveiled her first original songs: “Allo La Terre”, “Jeux d’enfants”, “Donne-moi ton amour”, and “Ne les écoutes pas”.
What do the “Ce Monde” lyrics mean?
“Ce Monde” brings back into the spotlight the French chanson style, and as some Eurovision fans have noted, Lou channels the vibe of a young Barbara Pravi. The official music video already comes with English subtitles — a clear sign of how important its message is. This mirrors Italy’s strategy from the main Eurovision Song Contest this year, making the song’s meaning more accessible to international audiences. It remains to be seen whether France will use the same approach on stage, as they bring a song with a strong message of peace.
This year’s Junior Eurovision line-up highlights a growing trend: more and more children are singing about peace, signalling that something in the world deeply concerns the younger generation. Despite their age, their voices are strong and full of power. Lou uses hers to bring back hope, love, and clear blue skies: “I have the right too / To do my best / I would like to change history / To restore hope / Love and the blue sky.”
Becoming a voice for her generation, Lou is ready to take action and make the future brighter: “Give me the future / Right there, in my hands / And I’ll make it bloom,” reminding listeners that the world belongs to everyone — especially the children who deserve to live in peace and harmony.
Lou is ready to heal the world with love, and she doesn’t plan to wait until she grows up. The change, she says, must start now. Her message is powerful and urgent: “And I’m afraid of nothing / I won’t wait to grow up / I won’t wait until the end / I’ll give it all the love / To make it feel good / And I’ll love it forever / This world of tomorrow.”
