The Netherlands is back in the game, as strong as ever. After hosting a national selection, Meadow won Junior Songfestival 2025 and will represent the country in Tbilisi on 13 December.
Four songs competed in the national final, with votes coming from an expert jury, a children’s jury and a public vote. In the end, “Freeze” by Meadow received the maximum 12 points from all three sources.
Last year, the Netherlands was represented by Stay Tuned with “Music” and ended up in 10th place. What result will they get this year?

Netherlands in Junior Eurovision 2025: Meadow with “Freeze”
Meadow is 14 years old. She hail from Roermond and her Eurovision song happens to be her debut single. However, this doesn’t mean she lacks stage experience. She has performed in major musical productions such as The Bodyguard and Frozen, and she also voiced Princess Ariel in the Dutch version of Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
Besides singing classes, Meadow is a talented pianist, she plays tennis and she loves dancing. She is also classmates with Luna, who represented the Netherlands at Junior Eurovision 2022.
Now everything is set for a big moment in her career as she gets ready to step onto her first international stage at Junior Eurovision.
What do the “Freeze” lyrics mean?
“Freeze” is a very catchy pop song, performed in both English and Dutch. It carries a strong message about pausing to reflect and being grateful, encouraging listeners to truly live in the moment instead of constantly rushing through life. The chorus invites everyone to stop and “take it easy.”

Meadow relates deeply to the song’s message, as she admits she often struggles to juggle her busy schedule filled with classes and lessons while nurturing all her passions and talents.
