It’s that time of year where we are desperate for our next Eurovision fix. And what better way to cope with those winter blues, than to ponder which artists would be fantastic picks for their countries at Eurovision? Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing our top wishlist pick for some of the countries at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The greatest thing about our wishlist is that there are no rules. No “they would never do Eurovision!” No “but that wouldn’t be possible because…” Not even a “but that country hasn’t participated in X number of years”.
Welcome to the Wiwi Wishlist, where we fantasise about the perfect artists for each country. Dozens of our wishes have been granted in the past. Who will be next?
Wiwi Wishlist: Miach for Croatia
We’re taking you to Mediterranean heaven of Croatia where we’re introducing you to Miach.
Real name Mia Čičak, this proud owner of a black belt in taekwondo blends R’n’B and pop with a dash of trap, something very popular in the Balkans at the moment.
Just like many of her colleagues, she was noticed by a record label via YouTube. Not long after, her debut EP, together with the lead single “NLO,” skyrocketed her career.
Heavily featured on TV as part of an advert, the single earned her a Porin nomination for Best New Artist and Cesarica nomination for Song of the Year (where she placed second).
Pushed by the wing of hard-earned success, the public also enjoyed her next single “SMS,” which opened the doors to many festivals all around Croatia. Most notably, she was one of the acts at Sea Star Festival in Umag – where, in 2025, she shared stage with Eurovision alum Loreen and Tommy Cash.
Our girl also enjoys collaborating with fellow artists. She teamed up with Grše on “Led” and “Fantazija” – two major club hits in the country.
Most recently, TV viewers remember her collab with Hiljson Mandela on the soundtrack for Sram, Croatia’s remake of the hit Norwegian series Skam. In its second week, the single reached number one on HR Top 40, Billboard Croatia and Shazam Top 200 charts.
Miach is finishing off 2025 with another extended play called F4ZE. Her latest release from the record is a music video for “Honolu.”
Fans might be waiting a bit longer for her Eurovision (or Dora) participation, though. As part of a TikTok interview with 24sata newspaper, the singer touched on Eurovision:
“I don’t have any desire to do Eurovision right now. But never say never, I don’t know what awaits me in two or three years. I’m often changeable, so maybe”
But since we are allowed to imagine and wish in this article, would you like to see Miach on Eurovision stage in near future? If so, do you prefer her solo work or collaborations?
Croatia at Eurovision Song Contest 2025
How else do you comeback after a top two finish tne year before? Croatia tried bold, sweet and proud with Marko Bosnjak and his “Poison Cake” this year. However, the singer failed to qualify for the Saturday evening, continuing Croatia’s string of mixed results at Eurovision.
As the country’s first openly gay representative, Marko proved everyone that he stands for who he is. His song “Poison Cake” serves as a message of sweet revenge (and threat!) to those who betrayed him. Mix it with dancers, oversized fur coat and impressive vocals and you get three glam minutes of Eurovision heaven.
However, the message wasn’t felt during his Eurovision semi-final and Marko finished twelfth with 28 points.
Genre-wise, “Poison Cake” was mixed of everything – from sugar pop to garage to opera – what else should Croatia do?
Would Miach be a good fit for Eurovision? Surely her sound isn’t something we hear at Eurovision every year. Let us know in the comments below!
