The five competing acts tackled a number of songs in duets with famous Georgian singers, including last year’s winner of Georgian Idol Oto Nemsadze, Junior Eurovision 2017 Runner-up Grigol Kipshidze, and last year’s Georgian Idol finalists Liza Kalandadze, Giorgi Nakashidze and Giorgi Pruidze. They performed “O (Fly On)”, “Runaway Baby”, “Breathe”, “Shallow” and “Juice”.
According to the overall results, Tornike Kipiani remains the huge favourite to win the contest. Also Barbara Samkharadze, who has come up second in almost every show.
- Tornike Kipiani – 31.88%
- Barbara Samkharadze – 22.42%
- Tamar Kakalashvili – 16.20%

barbara ??
I am readyyyyy for Tornike
Tornike Kipiani
I think Tornike has the strongest voice, but I swear… if we get another dour, borderline scary entry from Georgia…
The Georgians don’t learn from their mistakes. Another male, rock artist after they failed to qualify this year with the same pattern? No problem, they won’t qualify again in 2020, and I’ll be so happy about it!
To be fair, its their tv show and winner happens to represent them on ESC. Whoever wins, wins Georgian Idol. That’s what they like do it makes sense that they send something they enjoy to ESC. Like Sweden sending pop songs, Belgium sending indie pop (?), Balkans sending ballads, etc. Maybe its their thing now?
Although I don’t get Georgia’s hype around Tornike, I would not completely rule him out. He has an interesting voice.. but yeah, the song is what matters!
Surprisingly, I also liked his duet with Liza last night.
I, personally, prefer Barbara tho. She has a great voice and shows personality on stage.
Whoever get’s chosen, I just hope that they come with a good entry, cause the last few years, Georgia really sent weak entries.
I don’t get the hype around him either…
They didn’t send weak entriesz they sent entries that represented them. They always do tiphings their own way, as it should be.
Honestly, Georgia I think you’re not going to qualify with Tornike. I think that with Barbara you’ll qualify
Does it really matter who we want? We all know who it’s going to be. That being said, I’ve been defending Tornike Kipiani this whole time and I’ll stand by that. He’s a talented singer, he just needs something to sing that can play to his strengths and be less polarizing than the last two Georgian entries.
ANOTHER DISQUALIFICATION FOR GEORGIA IN ROTTERDAM
Georgia was only once disqualified and it was back in 2009 ….( or they withdraw idk )
