Although we’re officially into the Eurovision 2026 season, it will still be some time before we hear any national final and Eurovision songs. Thankfully, the music will always continue and a number of Eurovision artists are still producing new songs for us to enjoy.
Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.
Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.
New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 46 part 1
With so many new songs this week, we’ve split the roundup into two smaller articles. You can find part 2 here.
Sissal – “I’m Not Crying, I’m Dancing”
After breaking Denmark’s Eurovision curse and taking the country back to the grand final, Sissal returns with her follow-up single — and it’s another banger. This time, though, Sissal has mixed in Danish lyrics, with the title refrain, “I’m Not Crying, I’m Dancing,” being the only English-language text throughout the song. That’s all we foreigners need to understand the message of the song, as Sissal proved throughout her Eurovision journey that she is in this life to have a good time:
“you’ll never catch me just getting by or settling. i’m here to live, have fun with the poeple i love and laugh my ass off. we only get one life, so grrrl, go live yours to the fullest.”
Marcus & Martinus – The Room
Marcus & Martinus are rounding out the year with their new album, The Room. Fans will recognise a number of the songs, with five of them having been released over the last couple of years. But that still leaves six brand new tracks to enjoy for the first time. Sweden’s Eurovision 2024 duo showcase the variety within their pop wheelhouse — swinging between dark club bangers, sugary bops, emotional ballads… and a Christmas song to end.
Stefania – “Je Kan Niet Kiezen”
As we head into the festive party season, Stefania is making sure we have a banger for the dancefloor. “Je Kan Niet Kiezen” (“You Can’t Choose”) is a riveting dance-pop offering with a dark melodic aura surrounding it. In the lyrics, the Eurovision 2021 star encourages her lover to finally commit to their relationship: “You can’t choose, but you don’t want to lose me / If I’m what you want, why are you still standing still?”
Alessandra – “Not That Deep”
Alessandra has released “Not That Deep,” the final song from her new EP, PEPERONCINA. The sassy pop tune sees Norway’s Eurovision 2023 star setting boundaries in her relationship. Whilst her partner might be wanting to jump straight into a committed partnership, Alessandra is not quite falling head over heels yet: “Babe / It’s not that deep / I got one to many me / Priorities / So you can go ahead and / Do what you want, what you really want / Won’t get what you want, what you really want, nah.”
Joker Out – “Supersonic”
A year on from their last release, Joker Out are finally back on our playlists. We can forgive them for taking 12 months to work on new music when the result is this good.
“Supersonic” is a stirring indie rock offering that incorporates an electronic synth line amongst all the guitars and drum beats. Meanwhile, in the lyrics, Slovenia’s Eurovision 2023 act are becoming infatuated: “The night is short, your skin as sweet as candy / All my demons fear your embrace / A thin line, is this love, or just hormones? / I’m zooming like Sonic, supersonic / When Cupid stirs moonlight into tonic / But I, a chronic drinker, have to drink it all.”
Luke Black & Mood Killer – “ALCHEMY”
Luke Black is busy working his magic on an upcoming studio album. Serbia’s Eurovision 2023 star has been using a touch of “ALCHEMY” to transform the record into gold, working alongside LA-based experimental pop artist Mood Killer. The pair sing: “I’ll turn your tears into honey / Bitter to sweet / Saint to sinner, but I’ll make you believe / The magic of attraction / Chemical reaction / That’s alchemy / Do what you want to do to me.”
Runa & Don – “Mamy to”
Runa is the alter ego of Polish performer Cleo. Together with Don, she competed at Eurovision 2014. Now, the singer and music producer have released another joint single — “Mamy to,” which translates in English as “We have it.” The song utilises traditional Polish folk motifs and incorporates a backing choir in the chorus for added effect.
KALUSH & Markos – “Над Дніпром”
“The story of this song is quite tragic and sad. It was written a long time ago, and it is a duet with my friend, who, unfortunately, passed away two weeks ago. Unfortunately, he did not have time to hear the final version of the song. We put our whole soul into this work and tried to make it as sincere and strong as possible. Rest in peace, Markos. Eternal memory. Your friends.” — KALUSH (Ukraine Eurovision 2022)
Lyrics: “And I shout that you are the only one for me in the whole world / And the birds over the Dnieper will carry these words / And you will hear / I know, you will hear.”
Lindita – “For Me”
Eurovision 2017 alumna, Lindita, is churning out music at breakneck speed at the moment. The Albanian singer’s latest single is “For Me.” It’s a mid-tempo pop track with seductive production that aims to get the listener moving and grooving: “Tell me what you can do for me / All that talk, can you move for me […] Don’t flex, just groove for me.”
Waylon – Time Jumper
As far as presents go, being gifted a full studio album personally written for you is certainly one of the best. That’s exactly what Dutch singer Waylon has done for his mother, releasing Time Jumper on her birthday. The country record features 10 tracks, including pre-release single “Let’s Get This Over With.”
For the sound of the album the two-time Eurovision entrant was inspired by Robby Turner, an American pedal steel guitarist best known for working with Waylon Jennings. Sadly, Turner passed away in September, and so Waylon hopes to honour his legacy with this LP.
TEO.x3 feat. Tamta – “sprite”
Greek music producer TEO.x3 dropped his debut EP this week. One of the songs, “sprite,” features vocals from Tamta — who represented Cyprus at Eurovision 2019. A playful and catchy hyperpop track, the lyrics use the theme of drinking sprite as an analogy for being spiteful towards other people: “Because she might live that glamourous life / The one that you wish for every night / But know that she will never be satisfied / Think you should cool off from the sprite / Have you ever seen a sexy person drinking sprite? / Me neither.”
Andre & Syuzanna Melqonyan – “Ov e”
Eurovision 2006 contestant, Andre, has collaborated with Syuzanna Melqonyan for a new single. In their ballad, the Armenian singers ask “Ov e” — “Who is”? The pair question their partner about whether anyone else could love them more than they do: “Who is it, tell me / Who loves more / Who counted the steps from home / To your house / Who gave the kiss first / Is it me or you? / Let’s ask the Moon.”
ELDAR – Maskasız
ELDAR competed on Azerbaijan’s version of The Masked Singer in 2024, finishing as the runner-up. During the show, he covered a number of beloved Azeri songs and he has now decided to release his renditions as part of the short EP Maskasız (Without a mask). The collection contains three ballads, each of which will be getting its own music video over the coming weeks — starting with “Gələcəyəm, Gəl Desən” (“I’ll Come, If You Say So”).
Gram-Of-Fun & Daniel Levi feat. Jüri Pootsmann – “fireinyou”
Eesti Laul alumni Gram-Of-Fun and Daniel Levi have dropped a new joint album, titled after midnight. On track #3, “fireinyou,” we hear additional vocals from Eurovision 2016 star Jüri Pootsmann. The groovy blend of alt-pop and funk sees the Estonian artists discussing their desire to meet someone who has captured their attention: “Knocking on your door is / Salvation […] Baby, I just want to know your / Motivation […] I just got to see you / I gotta feel the fire in you.”
The Ark – “Stronger Than”
The Ark represented Sweden at Eurovision in 2007. After going their separate ways in 2011, the band are now back together with their first new single in 14 years. The classic glam rock track is about the most powerful force in the universe: “‘Cause there ain′t nothing, no bell′s great ring / That love ain’t stronger than / No, there ain′t nothing, no ruler, no king / That love ain’t stronger than.”
This single comes with the announcement of a new tour, taking place across Sweden next summer.
Albina Kelmendi – “GËNJEJA”
Albanian music competition Kënga Magjike is back. One of the ‘Big Artists’ taking part in this year’s event is Eurovision 2023 alumna Albina Kelmendi. Her song, “GËNJEJA” (“Lie”), is a powerful and emotional ballad about heartbreak. Kelmendi sings about the difficulty of moving on from a failed relationship and the lies she has to tell herself in order to do so: “I can’t be happy for those two, but I’ll get through it / I’ll get through it / I’ll get through it / I’m lying / I’m lying that I don’t want to love him anymore / I was lying to myself, lying.”
Mia Nicolai – sharing space among the stars
After five years of crafting away at her artistry, Dutch singer Mia Nicolai has now released her debut EP. Titled sharing space among the stars, there are five songs on the indie pop record — including recent singles “chasing lullabies” and “spend the night.” Writing about the EP on Instagram, the Eurovision 2023 act noted:
“Everyone disregards the nerves of putting out a whole ass project. It took me 5 years of being an artist to get to this point. A eurovision project in between and lots of nomadic traveling and confusion, but now we are here. And guess what?! It has created me to feel, like how do I put this, uhmmmmm unstoppable!!?? so you know what that means?! MANY MUCH MORE to come ha!!!!!!!!! Get your chest wet is how we say that in the Netherlands also stands for ‘get ready’ in English”
