Azerbaijan is making its fifth appearance at Junior Eurovision this year. The country re-joins the contest in Tbilisi after being absent from the last three events. Broadcaster İTV has selected Yağmur to wave the Azeri flag with the song “Miau Miau.”

Azerbaijan in Junior Eurovision 2025: Yağmur with “Miau Miau”
Music has been a big part of 12-year-old Yağmur’s life for the past four years. In addition to studying vocal performance, she is also learning to play the piano.
Yağmur’s musical interest stretches from classical to pop, having been influenced by artists such as Aybeniz Hashimova, Aygun Kazimova, Michael Jackson, Billie Eilish and Jennie (from BLACKPINK) — in fact, she has even been learning phrases in Korean due to her love for K-pop.
Azerbaijan’s national broadcaster, İctimai Television, held an internal selection process that began with over 60 applicants. Yağmur stood out from the crowd, with three of the six jurors ranking her first. This secured her the ticket to Junior Eurovision.
