Greece might be struggling to stay in the Eurozone but Eurovision-wise they have their priorities in order: Today it announced the five acts for its national final Eurosong 2015. MAD TV along with NERIT have picked the acts who will perform at the final, which airs in March. They are: Thomai Apergi & Legend, Maria Elena Kyriakou, Barrice, C Real, and Shaya.

Doretta Papadimitriou will be one of the hosts. However, Mary Sinatsaki, one of the rumoured hosts, will not co-host because of an existing contact with another channel. It’s now rumoured that Dimitris Ouggarezos will replace her.

EUROSONG 2015 PARTICIPANTS

1. Thomai Apergi & Legend from Panik records

She is a young artist who mainly sings jazz, soul and funk, and always performs with a piano and a saxophone on the stage. Thomai has also participated at the Greek national final in 2013, with the song “One Last Kiss”.

2. Maria Elena Kyriakou from Minos EMI- Universal

Maria Elena is a rising star in the Greek music industry. She was the winner of the first season of The Voice Of Greece, even though she comes from Cyprus. She stands a great chance to represent Greece at Eurovision.

3. Barrice from Spicy Music

Born in Russia, Barrice is a singer, sonwriter and producer. He is interested in pop, rnb, hip hop and electronica.

4. C Real from Feelgood

The five-member band has been performing since 1996 in Greece and abroad. They have recently collaborated with Oceana for the song “Sleepless Nights”, so would likely be recognized by some Germans.

5. Shaya from Planetworks

Shaya has been present as a solo artist since 2008. She has received many awards and nominations, and has collaborated with Mark F Angelo (Greek NF 2014 and memeber of the Greek jury last year) for the song “Far From Everything”.

I don’t think at all that its bad generally on many occasions… Except ok, if a singer that… Read more »

One thing that I would love too see from Greece is a ballad. They are like reverse Azerbaijan. While the latter always chooses ballads, Greece is always dancing. We want a bit of diversity.

C real….. I am a huge fan of their song “stop killing time” … Excited for a Greek entry for the first time since 2008 🙂 hopefully it is not another diva with the shake it attitude and wind machines and the very white version of Beyonce’s moves

Where is Demy? Demy would get Greece top 10 for sure cause Demy is queen. Anyway Shaya should win. Loved her song In Your Eyes

Rooting for Thomai and Shaya though I think any could potentially produce a good song.
