Semi-Final 1 of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is only twenty-four days away and all sixteen contestants are still jostling for position ahead of their performances in Vienna. The Eurovision Semi Final 1 odds are changing all the time so let’s check out where all the acts are as of 10:20 GMT on 29 April. These are the odds that the acts will qualify from the semi, not win the semi.
Eurovision Semi-Final 1 Odds to Qualify
Estonia’s Elina Born & Stig Rästa and Russia’s Polina Gagarina have been strong contenders amongst fans and remain firm favourites to advance from Semi-Final 1. Elina & Stig for Estonia can be found as low as 1/50 and Polina follows closely on 1/20.
Finland’s Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, Belgium’s Loïc Nottet and Albania’s Elhaida Dani round out the top five qualifiers. Finland are sitting at 1/10, Belgium at 1/6 and Albania on 2/9.

Armenia, Belarus, F.Y.R Macedonia, Georgia and Romania round out the Top 10 who look set to qualify for the final. Genealogy are in sixth at 1/4, Uzari & Maimuna in seventh on 2/7, Daniel Kajmakoski in eighth on 1/3, Nina Sublatti in ninth on 4/11 and scraping through in tenth Voltaj on 2/5.
The field widens significantly thereafter, with Greece, Denmark, Serbia, Hungary, Moldova and lastly the Netherlands all adrift of the ten qualifying spots from the final.
That means that as it stands Maria Elena Kyriakou, Anti-Social Media, Bojana Stamenov, Boggie, Eduard Romanyuta and Trijntje Oosterhuis will all fail to advance to the Grand Final on May 23.

I am sure that GREECE will qualify top 3-5 in the SF because all the dislikes in the youtube are by inhabitants of Skopje. And of course they aren’t Macedonian because their name is Form YUGOSLAVIC. Hello to everyone. I would like to beg you to vote for Greece in the SF. The ESC is a song contest only. It is not a contest for the best economy. Of course GREECE’s economy and political conditions are awful but ESC is the only event in which The GREEK can forget the crisis. Please vote for greece because Maria Elena Kyriakou has an awesome vouce (the best in yhe the ESC) and this ballad is amazing.
i am greek i am 80% sure that my country will qualify….ok it’s a ballad but how many times Greece have sent a ballad….no one since 2006…always we sent ethic/pop songs or cheap pop songs and some of these were really teribble like “this is our night” “aphrodisiac” and “rise up”! for first time we make the diffrence…also i can find more than 6 songs which should stay at the semi-final instead of “one last breath” 🙂 i will predict this 10 countries will maybe reach the final(no order): estonia armenia russia greece georgia belarus belgium albania romania and hungary!… Read more »
The Netherlands is fantastic be such a shame if they didnt make it out of this semi final which i dont think is half as good as Semi final 2in my opinion.
My least favorite 6 here are Greece, Serbia, Denmark, Russia, Armenia, and the Netherlands. Of course there’s no chance in hell that Russia will miss, thanks to region voting… sigh. I’m crossing my fingers that one of the underdog countries makes it over Greece, though. Such a forgettable song. I’m also hoping Hungary makes it instead of FYR Macedonia, even though the latter is in my top 10 for this final. Romania should stay in the semi final, really. Voltaj’s behaviour is just unacceptable.
I want Albania, Russia, Greece and Georgia to qualify. Estonia is a sure qualifier. And the rest… I don’t care, as long as Finland doesn’t take someone else’s place. Eleven songs are my candidates to fail, but some of them will come through.

i’m skeptical that Russia really have that much support. I mean, bookies have a particular way of working this out that isn’t a reflection on actual chances, or the current mood.

I think Greece is seriously in trouble this time. It might get the support of a few juries but there aren’t a lot of countries that traditionally support Greece every year (apart from Albania and Armenia). Denmark and Hungary will definitely fail. One of them will come last. Moldova is unsure, it depends on the live performance. I guess it has chances because of all the ex soviet countries voting + diaspora + catchy trashy song. @BE Don’t be so certain that Greece is completely safe from failure. Remember what happened to Sweden and Turkey in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Overall I do believe that Romania and Serbia really don’t deserve to qualify, I could not listen to the entire Greek song since It is quite boring I just couldn’t force myself …. But I do believe it is for a very particular crowd which is present in Eurovision so I do think they have a shot to qualify …..
I do not think that the bookies are too far wrong on this one. I would take Armenia out and replace it with Greece personally. I wish that Russia would not qualify but that seems unlikely.

I really think that the bookmakers are going to get it wrong this year. My prediction of the result: 1. Estonia 2. Greece 3. Albania 4. Armenia 5. Russia 6. Belgium 7. Belarus 8. Romania 9. If it’s one thing I learned from the past 10 years, it is that you should never underestimate Greece in this contest. Netherlands and Denmark both have catchy and simple songs who definitely can qualify, they’re just not fan favorites.
I think Greece and The Netherlands will qualify. Finland and Belarus won’t. Even Armenia will get a tough job to qualify, mark my words. For Belgium it will be: just in or out.
I hope Belarus, Belgium, Finland and Macedonia won’t qualify…those songs are extremely weak and they won’t do anything in the final… So, I hope someone more deserving will qualify instead of them… like Greece, Netherlands and Hungary!
Russia will qualify even if they conquer the whole world. They should just automatically qualify every year. It’s pretty pathetic.
It would be interesting if both Greece and Romania doesn’t qualify. I don’t think either country never missed the Finals. Most likely one of them will though.

these are betting odds. just revisit last year’s odds and you will see the differences between the bets and the outcomes. i will say that semi-final 1 is a tight squeeze. lot’s of good songs in that one.

From the 6 countries that are considered non qualifiers in the betting odds i have 4 of them inside my top10 qualifiers..
I expect Greece to manage qualifying too although i have the greek song just 11th on my top 4 the 1st SF..
The only song that i think that most likely will not qualify indeed is the Moldovan…But even on that one i don’t hold it..
Anything just can happen with these 15 countries other than Estonia that is considered sure qualifier finalist..
