When wiwiblogger Deban Aderemi headed to Copenhagen for vacay recently, he knew who to call for a good time — Tim Schou, the Danish front-man of Eurovision 2011 act A Friend In London. The hilariously foul-mouthed pop star took wiwibloggs on a whirlwind tour of his city. We are all about authenticity these days, so we didn’t edit out any of the profanity. As Tim would say, “Sh*t happens.”
The pair start off paddling in Peblingeso Lake. To the surprise of onlookers, Tim snapchats the experience. At his favourite cafe Emmery’s, Tim talks about Cutfather taking the reins of the Danish national selection, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. “I think it’s great that Cutfather is going to go in there, make some changes and make it more cool”.
“I’ve been in LA for a few months, and my music is getting more black,” he says of his new sound. He recorded a full album in 14 days, and it will be released next year. He also discusses opening for Aaron Carter in the UK, marriage equality in the United States and his birthday party concert on stageit.
He also sends Mandy Huydts an official apology after saying, in rather explicit terms, that he wanted to have sex with her after she announced that the Dutch had given Denmark 12 points at Eurovision 2011. Enjoy the show!

Tim is one of these participants who I appreciate due to their personality and not because of their music. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy his song. However, it brought some diversity to Eurovision.
I absolutely love Tim’s sense of humor and how he approaches everything with such a swag and coolness. He is even less prudish (unlike many straight guys) than Deban as they walk along the “cruising” park lol Not many straight guys would talk about homosexuality this way. His personality and authenticity, whether some will find it annoying and unreal or not, really makes him be a very likable person and I look forward to his music taking in consideration some of the influences behind it as Tim pinpointed.
HE IS DAMN HOT
Mario, you know Emmelie’s average with televoters, and it’s a pretty mediocre. There is no compelling indication that her average result translates into a televoting win. Conchita’s televoting average rank was much lower and she won the televoting by points resoundingly (315 points almost 100 points ahead of the NL). Emmelie could have been easily beaten by Azerbaijan or Ukraine in the televoting by points, but we will never know. Also Spain would have had the 11th best average by ranks this year, however they only 21st. On the other hand, Albania and Armenia who had extremely poor averages and… Read more »
@ By the way…You still didn’t reply to that wonder of mine.. In the official data Emmelie was the winner in the juries.. Her general score was the highest from all.. But the actual numbers of points were never released 4 that year though.. But if you have found a source with the actual points instead & Emmelie was NOT 1st there you can really enlighten me buddy.. From the wikipedia & the info that were released it was obvious that Emmelie did NOT lose by any other act/song/country in both semifinal juries & televoting.. Russia came close to her… Read more »
@Darren, Copenhagen is dead boring…… unless you are dying to see the little Mermaid…
@Mario, the GreAtY
Well, I also find Tim Schou utterly repelling. Like N’evergreen or like Basim. There is something about these Danish singers that screams “Please pay me a fee for looking at me”. So full of themselves and cocky, unrelatable d*ckheads….
When I was in Denmark and Sweden in 2014, I did not feel that these are the nicest and most welcoming places to go.
Someone bring me to Copenhagen!!! Please!!! It looks so beautiful <3
By the way…I want to give an explantion about this.. The fact that not many danish people could recognize Emmelie in Deban’s poll when he showed them 2 pics of her to them was.. Because from these photos it was not hella really obvious that it could be really Emmelie De Forrest indeed so it was not easy to recognize them even if they DID know who she was of course.. Emmelie before her victory in Denmark’s NF Dansk Grand Prix was completely UNKNOWN…No one knew her in Denmark.. And she was only really popular in 2013 after her victory… Read more »
Well i LOVED the danish entry of 2010 *In A Moment Like This* <3
It is not only my #1 most favorite danish entry ever in history of the Vision but one of my all time most favorites songs in EuroVision <3
No it was not overrated at all…
It deserved to finish 4 sure higher than the 2nd & 3rd placed songs of Turkey & Romania..
I would prefer Denmark to win in the Vision of 2010 over Germany..
Well Tim Schou is hot handsome but i find him not likable…He passes to me as cocky & all over himself.. Ok we get it that he is very beautiful but he doesn’t need to show off & pretend like he is real star…Because he isn’t.. He is just known in Denmark & nothing more.. I really liked though his visionary song in the EuroVision 2011 with his boy band & it was even better than the winner song of Azerbaijan to admit…But it is what it is…Sh*t happens indeed.. But he finished 5th that was still great success.. He… Read more »
@ Oostenrijk
With no offense amigo BUT Emmelie actually WON indeed the televoting both on the final & semifinal in 2013..
But if you know the full points instead of the average rank of the juries you can enlighten me..
@Oostenrijk
Their hugely overrated entry in 2010 came third with televoting but 7th with juries which seems to be the only exception.
As for the actual article, loved the interview. It was great to watch just like any video featuring Deban in it. 🙂
Some were shocked to see Denmark failing in this year’s semi, but I had a review recently of Danish Eurovision results, and Denmark sucked in the televoting each year and was hilariously hyped by juries. I reckon that Emmelie even failed to win the televoted in 2013.
Friend in London were only 18th in 2011 in the televote.
If the Danes wouldn’t have kidnapped bakers from Vienna and stolen all their recipes, Tim wouldn’t have a favourite bakery now in Copenhagen. All good things come from Vienna to Copenhagen, like Conchita or “Danish”
