mans-zelmerlow-glorious

He’s the winner of Eurovision 2015 and remains glo-oh-oh-oh-orious.

And on Thursday Swedish heartthrob, singer and TV personality Måns Zelmerlöw proved the point again with the release of his latest single “Glorious”.

The Lund-born stunner teased the release of the single on Tuesday, uploading a black-and-white video of him singing a bit of the track while tickling the ivories.

3 days left! #mzglorious

A post shared by Måns Zelmerlöw (@manszelmerlow) on

And while the acoustic version above absolutely slayed, the final package is beyond wow.

Nodding to the anthemic quality of “Heroes” while fully embracing his evolving sound, Måns serves us a romantic number that somehow mixes rock, pop and EDM. It’s a unique sound and very Zelmerlöw.

We don’t know who the lucky lady is who he’s singing about, but we definitely want to be her as they are getting down and taking their love to another level.

“Lay it bare, lay with me,” he says. “We will be glorious, in this moment nothing matters.” Swoon.

The single comes from Måns’ seventh studio album, titled Chameleon, which is set to drop on December 2.

Måns already released the album’s lead single “Hanging on to Nothing” on August 26, and followed that up with the French-language version “Rien que nous deux” in early November.

Are you saying oo la la to Måns’ latest track? And are you excited for the release of Chameleon? Let us know in the comments box below.

Glorious lyrics — Måns Zelmerlöw

We shoot our arrows in the dark
They light the skies, standing guard
Your castle walls are made of hurt
I’ll break them down with fearless love
No regrets, no defeat
Just two hearts in victory
Lay it bare, lay with me

We will be glorious
In this moment nothing matters
Glorious
Stars colliding all around us
Love me, don’t let me go
Hold on to the afterglow
We will be glorious
Glorious

We tear, we climb into the sky
We won’t fall back to Earth tonight
Your skin, your eyes, your every breath

No sin, no fear, no secrets left

No regrets, no defeat
Just two hearts in victory
Lay it bare, lay with me

We will be glorious
In this moment nothing matters
Glorious
Stars colliding all around us
Love me, don’t let me go
Hold on to the afterglow
We will be glorious
Glorious

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Yeaaaaah
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

We will be glorious
In this moment nothing matters
Glorious
Stars colliding all around us
We will be glorious
In this moment nothing matters
Glorious
Stars colliding all around us

@everyone Where do you get the idea that I’m this huge Il Volo fan!? Like Il Divo, they serve a kind of bombastic over-produced version of classical music that I’m not fond of at all. Although they do it well, and on the night they certainly delivered a convincing performance. I like Should Have Gone Home, in fact I think it’s a very good song, but to say it’s a major hit… like I said, it’s a radio hit in France (partly because he released a half-French version of it). You guys confuse sticking to the facts with my personal… Read more »

Beyond bland. But then everything he ever releases is. No wonder the first two singles flopped. Even in Sweden.

Poles love Mans as well pre-2015 when “Brother Oh Brother” became a huge hit in Poland.

And what’s with this Il Volo vs Mans issue many here seem to have created for themselves? Il Volo has been doing well before Eurovision, having performed for audiences across the globe. They were even on American Idol a few years back, sang at the Latin Grammys and was recently in America’s Got Talent.

You can’t compare one’s success to the other. Mans is doing what he loves, and so is Il Volo. Let’s leave it at that.

@dutchie Your ignorance and bitterness will neve affect me. I feel sorry for you. And btw Lily is right, Should’ve gone home was quite a big hit in France and charted well for many weeks.

From Sweden with love!

@dutchie: And allow me to add that it’s so damn easy to read between the lines how much you clearly haven’t made it possible to get over the fact that your beloved Il Di… ops sorry … Il Volo didn’t win Eurovision in 2015 based on those paid televoting calls that nobody was obliged to do and yet people did because they wanted to waste a few cents that could easily pay for another express post-dinner. Anti-Måns shade is just so 2015 and so irrelevant to the now, a now that clearly shows Il D … ops Il Volo not… Read more »

@dutchie I wouldn’t call a song that’s been in the top for moore than 45 weeks “a minor radio hit”. It’s one of this years absolutely biggest hits in France (and as of right now he has 3 songs on their top 100 list of radioplay). Also, I might add, in Sweden he’s probably top 5-10 of the most known and beloved people – all chategories – with a career that almost lasted for 12 years until now. And Eurovision is just a small part of that.

Il Volo’s career existed independently from Eurovision, I don’t know if it has made much of a difference. Måns Zelmerlöw is mainly known as ‘the Swedish guy with the difficult name who won Eurovision’. His singles didn’t chart anywhere, except for Should’ve Gone Home, which I believe was a minor radio hit in France.

This song Glorious isn’t bad, although it sounds more Eurovision than radio-friendly.

Team Justin Mans has success in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, France. He will appear in Uk in shows and his career in France is getting bigger. After his win in eurovision he toured Europe and he appeared in Australia. So eurovision really expanded his career something that Lena, Loreen, Emmelie de Forest, Concita, Jamala and others didnt managed.Heroes was a big hit.Fire in the rain had success in some countries .Im sure that Chameleon will do quite well.He will realese it in 25 countries.Im sure that he will have more success and another big hit like heroes.

@khm Il Volo not only are busy touring in Europe but in North and Latin America as well. When will other ESC artists be able to say this?

He has a lot of success in France atm that grows stronger and stronger. He said in a interview that he will spend a lot of time in France in the near future. He will also release the album physically in about 25 countries.

@bella You are right. They will embrace it as well 😉
