All you Swedes better grab your fire extinguishers: This year’s Eurovision Song Contest runner-up Eleni Foureira will bring the heat — and the “Fuego” — to the EuroPride Eurovision Party.
Stockholm Pride, which has a long established tradition of dedicating Thursday night to its Schlager Evening, gets to up the ante this year. That’s because the Nordic capital is hosting EuroPride 2018. So they are going all out to make this a night that Melodifestivalen and Eurovision fans will remember.
Eleni — who was praised for giving the gays everything they wanted at Eurovision — has proven to be an ally for the LGBT community, regularly showing her support and appreciation to her fans. In Lisbon, the “Fuego” starlet did a special gig at famed gay club TRUMPS in addition to our very own Wiwi Jam.
Speaking about EuroPride, she said: “It is an honor for me to be invited to Stockholm and EuroPride 2018. I am looking forward to meeting all my fans and thank them for their support during Eurovision Song Contest.”
Alongside Eleni, three other artists of Melodifestivalen and Eurovision fame have been announced. They include Sweden’s Eurovision 2017 entrant and MelFest winner Robin Bengtsson, last year’s breakout act Nano, and fan favourite Wiktoria.
Robin Bengtsson has been keeping busy since placing fifth at last year’s Eurovision Song Contest by opening a barber shop, and he recently dropped the new single “Liar”.
“Finally I get to meet the audience at Pride!” he’s said. “So grateful and honoured to be part of this.”
Nano was the breakout act of Melfest 2017 with his song “Hold On”, which held a very positive message of love.
“I perform at EuroPride because I support everyone’s right to choose their own path in love,” he says.
Finally we have power vocalist and fan favourite Wiktoria.
“This is most probably one of the best parties this year, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be there on stage during EuroPride.”
This is just the beginning as more acts will be announced for the Eurovision Party in the coming weeks.
The show will take place on the 2nd of August at the EuroPride Park Stockholm, which is situated at Östermalms IP.
The Pride Park will be bustling with activities with vendors, exhibits and stalls to explore. Get ready to meet, engage with and speak to people from different corners of the community, as well as allies.

I will going to attend EuroPride 2018! Looking forward to your next post
Forgot to mention Conchita is also coming to Stockholm Pride!
Is Eleni really a transgender? I can’t find any childhood photo of her.
And going off of this: Cyprus is a go to compete in 2019!
inb4 ERT rejects Tamta because she’s Georgian and Cyprus snatches her and wins. A concept!
Buddy, not in Greece, Cyprus and the Balkans. She’s been on fuego there for several years already.
Well, she’s buying a house in Limassol’s coast line area. The cheapest two bedroom apt there is half a million euros. I guess she can affort it cause pineapples and bananas…just sayin
Yeah Yeah. Yeah Yeah. Yeah Yeah. FIRE! Love it <3 Bring Queen Eleni and Fuego to the US please. It would be a summer hit!
Sorry but I’ll pass… I rather have Toy or Lie to Me then this song
Lovely
Queen of the gays. Ariana Grande found DEAD.
Queen
If this song makes Eleni a superstar, I will be very pleased. One of maybe two or three songs from this year (I’d also say Czech Republic and Austria, maybe Germany and Sweden) that I could totally see charting well here in the States.
(But Netta still deserved it, don’t @ me)
Germany’s song truly sounds like a SMASH hit in the US. Had Ed Sheeran released it it sure would’ve gone #1.
If Ed Sheeran released a recording of his morning bowel movement it would go to #1.
In the meantime to EuroPride in Stockholm you can see her at Madrid Pride (and Barcelona, Ibiza, Murcia…). I bet she is is spending much of the summer performing in Spain. She is becoming sort of a recognised name over here.
Tbh she should make a feature with someone like Maluma or Natti Natasha and get that Latin hit!
With how divisive Toy and Israel are right now, it’s not surprising that as one of the two superstars competing and as runner up that Eleni would excel.
ERT should send her to 2019 and she’ll be a likely winner
