At Eurovision 2013, Aliona Moon gave Moldova something to celebrate when her song “O mie” place 11th. Now it’s her turn to celebrate. Aliona recently married her long-term partner Vova Fedorenco, with a thoroughly romantic wedding.

The wedding was a long time coming — but well worth the wait. Aliona Moon — also known as Aliona Munteanu — and Vova Federenco have been a couple for seven years. He had even appeared in the music video for her 2015 single “Loc pentru dragoste” (Place for love).

Among the guests was Aliona’s friend and musical partner, Pasha Parfeny. The pair previously collaborated on two Moldovan Eurovision entries: Aliona sang backing vocals on Pasha’s 2012 song “Lautar”, while Pasha wrote Aliona’s 2013 song “O mie”.

There were hints of “Lautar” at Aliona’s wedding as Pasha took on the role of wedding singer. He provided uplifting music for the newlyweds and their guests to dance to.

But we’re sure that the opening line of “Lautar” — “At the wedding tonight she looks nicer than the bride” — didn’t apply here. Judging from all the pics of the wedding, Aliona was looking radiant!

Pasha shared pic of the happy occasion on his Instagram. He wished the couple “Casa de piatra!” — a traditional Romanian expression for newlyweds. It literally means “house of stone”, and is wishing for a relationship as strong and long-lasting as a house made of stone.

Vova Fedorenco, the new Mr Moon, posted a pic of Aliona in her wedding dress, with the excited caption “Meet my Wife!!” Aliona can be seen wearing headphones, looking pensive, suggesting the musician was putting a lot of thought into her wedding music.

And Aliona shared a photo of the musical couple, with Vova jamming on a double-bass and Aliona shimmying to his grooves. She wrote, “After 7 years, in which we have experienced so many colourful feelings, we have chosen to invent together other colours: newer, more vivid, deeper. I love him more than yesterday, more than a week ago… more than I thought I could.”

Excuse us. We’re not crying, it’s… allergies.

We wish the newlyweds all the best for their new stage of life together!
