She set the Eurovision stage on fire with the song “Fuego” back in May. And on Friday fans had their fire extinguishers at the ready as Eleni Foureira emitted even more heat with the release of her new song “Tómame” (Take me).

Thematically the song revolves around a boy who drives Eleni crazy. The heat rises inside her until she can’t take it anymore. She unleashes her passion through some sensual talk — take me, take me gives the song rhythm, while at times she pleads for him to do it “suave, otra vez” (soft, again). The mixture of English and Spanish gives the song a spin of sun, which takes you back to summer. And it’s already a hit: It reached #1 on iTunes in hours.

A singer who can dance, dance, baby, Eleni also published a music video that reads like a telenovella and sees the Queen of Fire serving non-stop body. She embodies fierce as she dips it low, bends her back and showcases her stunning silhouette on the dance floor, amid bodies splayed out in the Athens subway and even on the top of a bus. Beep, beep!

At times the styling is deliberately mod, as in the opening shot which could come from a 1980s cover shoot or a 2019 fashion spread. Our girl is building bridges through time with fashion. Gone is the glittering outfit and long straight hair from Lisbon. In its place comes tantalising leather and leotards with statement curly hair.

Clearly proud of her latest creation, Eleni has published several Instagram posts that detail the process behind the music video. They show the struggle and strife that go into creating such a masterpiece.

“TOMAME choreography is killing me”, she said earlier this fall in an Instagram post as she practiced her moves, legs akimbo, on the floor. Thankfully all the bruises and scrapes have definitely paid off.

Not just one gold, but two!

“Fuego” is way up and it ain’t coming down. That’s right! Earlier this week, Eleni shared the good news that her Eurovision hit has reached gold status in both Sweden and Norway. Writing on Twitter she expressed her thanks.

But this is only tip of the iceberg. After Eurovision, “Fuego” has also hit number one on Spain’s radio charts. And on top that, Eleni has received keys to the city of Tiranapublished the song “Caramela” and performed in different cities around the Europe including London and Madrid. Don’t stop, won’t stop.

What do you think about “Tómame”? And what is your message to Eleni? Let us know in the comments down below.

This woman has quite some ASSets, but singing is rather a liability. The extravagant video tries to make up for the fact that this song is utterly boring and generic.

I have to admit, that the song is really catchy. I’m just jealous of this gorgeous woman. I could never pull these outfits off… you go girl!

Im surprised it took wiwibloggs so long to post a reaction to “Tómame”. I love this club banger. I also have spoken Spanish since childhood and while “Soy el agua por tu sed” should be “para tu sed” or “’pa tu sed” a big hit was able to get away with saying “all I think is wild thoughts” instead of “ all is think are wild thoughts” @Yellowman96 maybe look up the meaning of misogyny before using said word, usted se pasa de
Pendejo/a.

As a Spanish speaker, I dare say that the most missogynistic Reggaeton song has more meaning than this song :/ #SorryNotSorry
