She placed fourth at Eurovision 2013 with her song “I Feed You My Love.” And now, after an 11-year wait, Margaret Berger is returning to Melodi Grand Prix 2024 with “Oblivion.”
“I told NRK it’s really important to me the song is as good as ‘I Feed You My Love’,” she told our Jacob. “We worked hard to find that.”
Performing at Eurovision night during Stockholm Pride recently reminded her that people still know and love her. She remembers thinking, “I think I’m ready to dive into this bubble again.”
So how has she changed in the past decade? Watch our interview to find out.
I can see Oblivion going to the final of MGP but I’ll be surprised if it beats Damdiggida. I think they’ll pull off some interesting staging which will elevate it somewhat, but I have to say I don’t think it’s as unique as Feed You My Love. It’s impressive she’s coming back after 11 years (just like Loreen!) but Feed You My Love had something really special which I don’t know if Oblivion has yet. Good luck to her though!
She is Anti-Israel so she will win for sure…
please react to ulveham by gåte! next to keiino and margaret berger, it’s seen as a big favorite within norway and potential winner. it’s an unique song that combines classic folk and rock, and gåte is already famous here. listen to 5 seconds and you’ll be intrigued for sure.
Sorry darling, but oblivion is not as close as i feed you my love.
“Oblivion” is an absolutely amazing song!!!! Dark electronica – only the Nordics know how to do this genre! LOVE IT!
Should Have Worked A Little Harder Then
