Don’t get it twisted. But do get it ticketed. Organisers behind the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 have announced that TicketCorner — a Swiss ticketing platform — will be the official ticketing partner for Eurovision 2025 in Basel.

You’ll need to register in order to buy tickets for the contest in May. The EBU states that this “will help prevent tickets being resold and ensure that as many Eurovision fans as possible get the chance to watch the live shows.”

Eurovision tickets: Pre-register for Basel 2025 now

You can pre-register between now and midnight on 10 January 2025 at www.ticketcorner.ch/esc. As ever, there are nine different shows to buy tickets for.

First Semi-Final: Tuesday 13 May, 21:00 CET

  • Evening Preview: Monday (12 May)
  • Afternoon Preview: Tuesday afternoon (13 May)
  • Live TV Show: Tuesday evening (13 May)

Second Semi-Final: Thursday 15 May, 21:00 CET

  • Evening Preview: Wednesday evening (14 May)
  • Afternoon Preview: Thursday afternoon (15 May)
  • Live TV Show: Thursday evening (15 May)

Grand Final: Saturday 17 May, 21:00 CET

  • Evening Preview: Friday evening (16 May)
  • Afternoon Preview: Saturday afternoon (17 May)
  • Live TV Show: Saturday evening (17 May)

The first ticket sale period starts on 29 January 2025, a day after the Semi-Final Draw. The prices will range from CHF 40 to CHF 350 (so roughly 43 euros to 372 euros).

If you don’t snag tickets, or don’t want to pay those prices, don’t worry! Organisers have announced an “Arena Plus” viewing for the public during the grand final on Saturday 17 May.

The EBU says: “Basel’s legendary football stadium St. Jakob Park (known locally as ‘Joggeli’) will play host to the big event. As well as screening the Grand Final, the evening also promises an extensive programme of entertainment. Further details will be announced in due course.”

They are finally doing something about the reselling of the tickets problem. That’s a VERY good thing to do.

Prices are surprisingly low, I expected them to be much worse. Still, I’m unsure about pulling this off myself this year, given that accomodation will be a major PITA. If authorities managed to at least provide some information on whether they plan to run extra overnight transport services so one can stay e.g. in Luzern or Mulhouse, that would help. But so far it seems that under normal schedules, the only option is to stay in Basel, which is way below capacity for an event of this size.

A bit more expensive than last year, in 2024 the least and the most expensive tickets were 13€- 334€, it’s overall 30€ more expensive than last year, but for Switzerland standards it remains reasonable. I still couldn’t go unfortunately so I count on wiwi coverage to live Eurovision 2025 from a distance.
