Following a silver medal at last year’s Eurovision, Croatia is hoping to keep their good fortunes going. The country’s national selection, Dora 2025, takes place this week as they hunt for another star.
Once all the competing songs were unveiled, we asked you to vote for who you wanted to see succeed Baby Lasagna.
After tallying up a total of 4,863 votes, we have your winner!
Marko Bošnjak is a favourite to win Dora 2025
After placing second in Dora 2022 with a ballad, Marko Bošnjak is back with an edgier offering and reaching for the gold this time. It’s an achievement that many want to happen, as he’s emerged as the act our readers would most like to see in Basel.

It’s AaAaA Magazin or Daj Daj Ogenj for the win for Croatia! Catchy powerful nostalgic songs that will please audience Croatia and ESC. Will make Croatia top 10 again!
AaAaA for the win.
??
I personally like Magazin but Dora is hard to predict. It could go anywhere.
Go Marko! Looks like he’s one and only favorite (of the majority of eurofans) this year at Dora!
Just proving that eurofans indeed live in a bubble.
17% of the vote is not what I would call an only favorite.
I think Dora is very open this year.
No he ain’t. He was a fav in 2022 with Croatian song but his English Poison Cake is weak and cringe and will NQ (maybe barely at the line).
We should send Lelek. Since they are singing about Gaz.a, i.sraeli will try to bully them in Basel, but they are balkan girls. They will end them lol
I want Lelek just because I like their songs and the lyrics but I don’t think they are specifically singing about Gaza
Not specifically, but a Palestinian grandfather spoke of his granddaughter that the occupation killed as “the soul of my soul.” The phrase has been used in protests since, especially since he himself was killed after.
Real fur? This is rank
IVNX is my favorite so far. I normally like Marko Bosnjak, but this year’s song of his is just a mess.
Why is there no poll for the German selection? Too bad? 😉
i am team daj,daj and i like also fenstra with his old school stuff.
daj,daj is a very well mix from ethno & metal and can do well in public voting.
but i know meanwhile, that croatia and also serbia finals are very difficult to read so we will see soon who will make it to basel.
That is not the choice. At all. There are seriously better songs in this selection by far.
Please Croatia send Magazin. Have liked it from first listen when all songs released
Yeah, well, if you Google INDEX LUKA GRGIC you’ll see what’s happening. Nice lil expose there.
Hopefully the bookies got it right and Magazin will be taking it.
Other than AaAaA…I’ll be happy with either Nipplepeople or even Lelek.
That was a fascinating read. I’ve heard from friends in Croatia before that many things in life come with corruption as a standard over there but I suppose until you see it so blatantly called out you don’t think too much of it.
The author is quite anal-retentive lol, but also a bit of a hoot. Very little escapes him.
You know, Croatia is a small country, but yeah, knowing people gets you far…like anywhere really, bit I guess it’s more visible. That’s if one chooses to go down such path.
