They are a powerhouse in the Eurovision Song Contest, and they certainly aren’t less of a powerhouse in the OGAE Second Chance Contest. It is the Nordic giants Sweden we are talking about, who have once again emerged victorius in the yearly OGAE contest for the songs, that didn’t make it to Eurovision that year.
Four-time Melodifestivalen contestant Klara Hammarström took home the trophy for the Swedes with “On and On and On” – after finishing fourth in this year’s Melfest final – ahead of last year’s winner country Italy’s Giorgia and “La cura per me” in second place and Finland’s Goldielocks with “Made Of” in third place.
This was Sweden’s 19th victory overall in the OGAE Second Chance Contest since it’s inauguration in 1987 and the fourth victory in six years after also winning in 2020, 2022 and 2023.

Do you agree with the votes from the OGAE clubs? Did you have Klara Hammarström as your favourite? Let us know in the comments below.
I hope Klara Hammarström never gives up on representing. She is a great ambassador. This was her best song in the contest, a true pop banger
Deserved! My favorite song from the 2025 season.
Nobody cares.
Well you commented so you do it seems
I hate to call the OGAE crowd basic, but they always go with the fairly generic pop songs. Like don’t get me wrong, Klara’s song is good enough…it just would be nice to see them not make a selection of standard dance pop for once.
I’m terribly disappointed by the results. Klara barely sang anything, she was lip-syncing the full song. Also, the 2 sisters of Run to the Hills cracked top10, including the original singer. It’s honestly absurd and disrespectful. Apart from the remaining 8 songs in the top10 that were deserved, I think Croatia, Ukraine, Greece, Estonia, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Latvia deserved to be higher than their final ranking and Alba nia should be lower (but still crack the top10). My ranking of the 25 songs is: Italy Malta Portugal Spain Poland Finland Belgium Alba nia Greece Croatia Ukraine Estonia Luxembourg Slovenia Latvia… Read more »
La Cura would have been my first choice. It’s definitely the one I keep humming to myself months after Sanremo. It striked a chord and I’m a sucker for an expressive ballad and a vocal prowess like Giorgia has. Goldielocks deserved second place, it’s fresh, contemporary, ‘skewed’, unpredictable. As far as Sweden’s concerned, Klara is a very competent performer, but I feel like everything about this song sounds familiar to me. I’ve outgrown these kind of bangers. I obviously still have a weakness for Bella Italia.
LOL, I have only one of these songs (Goldielocks) on my Top 50 songs from the season (where songs that got to Basel is omitted).
shocking
OGAE clubs are filled with 40+ years old gay men, who have a very conservative taste in music. No surprises here, but these results really tell, that this organisation either needs new members, or quit doing these silly votings for mere nothing.
Apply cold water to burn
Finland and Denmark are better and more original. I do like this song though and just recently listened to Run to the hills but let’s be real, she can’t sing to save her life. Listening to her perform is painful. Even with the backing track doing all the heavy lifting she barely lasts for 3 minutes. The perfect act for ogae, sure, but Eurovision deserves better. Or not? Anymore?
I heard she was sick when she performed this, so that might be a reason why her singing was as weak as it was
Sorry, but this just further solidified my stance on the jury vote; as they themselves would say, it’s a no from me.
Not Sweden again!
But side note: yay Italy getting second
