Strong songs and singers this year. San Marino is in a genre of its own . I have a strong feeling this will win. A girl on a guitar well there you go .
France is an incredible entry this year and is my personal winner. Spain, Poland, Ireland, and Ukraine are also up there!
Spain definitely has a good chance of winning this year. The song is a true anthem to the books of our childhood, and the production is excellent. Plus, Gonzalo’s voice is magical. It has a strong possibility of winning the jury’s vote and placing very high in the online poll.
Armenia, Georgia, and France also have songs I like.
From Spain: San Marino: Martina CRV – “Beyond the Stars” Spain: Gonzalo Pinillos – “Érase Una Vez (Once Upon a Time)” Portugal: Inês Gonçalves – “Para Onde Vai o Amor?” Ukraine: Sofia Nersesian – “Motanka” Italy: Leonardo Giovannangeli – “Rockstar” San Marino has a good chance of getting their best place, though, unfortunately, I don’t see them having the support to win. Might be time for us, Spain. Also Ukraine could posibly be in the top 3. It is Ukraine and the song outstands in a sea of ballads. Portugal is a grower on me, so delicate. Maybe not too… Read more »
i love San Marino Spain France Armenia Georgia
I think Spain or Armenia Will win JESC 2025. Great songs and amazing vocals.
There are a lot of great options this year, it’s a very strong year. Poland, Armenia, Georgia, France and Spain would all be splendid winners. Though I feel like The Netherlands could also surprise with their up tempo song in the sea of ballads that this year is..
I’ve got to admit i really like the beat in the Azerbaijan song. Other than the title it feels the most grown up sound to me (although the contest isn’t really aimed at me). I’ll also nod to Croatia as the opening reminds me of a John Lennon/Beatles song.
No clear favourite this year I think. I like Ukraine’s, it’s well put together, but I’m not the target demographic for this so all the bubblegum pop for kids is always going to be lost on me. Some really talented young vocalists from the likes of Montenegro, Georgia and Croatia… and I have no idea how that voice is coming out of that child for Poland. Beyond her years to say the least. Also disappointed to see at least 3 countries using generative AI here but that’s a separate thing entirely. Maybe my wonderful home nation of Ireland will finally… Read more »
I wonder why Italy does so poorly at JESC, is it that the diaspora won’t care enough for this? Songs certainly are a bit duds qualitywise.
Despite the AI music video, my favorite is Armenia. His vocals really impressed me. I’ve also taken a big liking to Georgia and North Macedonia this year. But… I think everyone’s got great material! Shows how these kids are somehow 10x as talented as most adult singers these days
True, they are probably not “content creators” or “influencers”
This isn’t an AI-generated video; it’s actual work by animators. They’ve already clarified that.
France! An entry that would even be worthy of winning the adult Eurovision. Great song and outstanding vocals. There is no other entry in this field which can compete with that magnificent track. It is better than many winners of the actual Eurovision.
Written by children or adults?
I normally just let JESC do its own thing. (I was a singer when I was a child myself, so I have very mixed feelings about this contest even existing in the first place.)
However, this year, there is one song that really stands out to me and absolutely should win this selection.
So what does this mean?
Basically, I have a clear favourite, but I respect the kids enough not to reveal which song it is. It also means, congratulations to the JESC for actually including a song that I love. That hasn’t happened until 2025.
Everyone have fun.
Not a fan of AI videos… Armenia needs to get a grip and realize that if you want animated video you could hire umm.. like an artist for such “:D”
????? It’s not an AI video – it was made by real animators. They’ve already released a statement about it.
It’s clearly AI, whatever “they” said. Impossible for animators to produce something like this in such a short timing. I’m nevertheless curious to see what the song will be without the video.
Forgot: Poland too
France, Ireland, Netherlands and San Marino!
Armenia, Cyprus, and of course Georgia!! that is such a solid host entry, not a winner maybe but will likely get another good result for them
