The producers behind Belgium’s Eurosong 2016 know how to keep us gagging for more. After showing this year’s finalists Tom, Adil, Laura, Astrid and Amaryllis covering Eurovision classics on January 4, they revealed mouth-watering 11-second snippets of their potential Eurovision songs on January 8. Over the weekend EEN revealed 30-second excerpts, so naturally we decided to watch them in front of a camera and film ourselves reacting. You can watch that video below.
Belgium: Second Live show and song reveal
Belgium’s candidates will finally reveal their songs this evening during the second live show. It marks the first time that they will show the public what they have to offer in full. You can tune in via the live stream on the VRT website from 20:25 CET.
Beverly Jo Scott, an American-born singer-songwriter living in Brussels, and Tom Helsen, a Flemish singer-songwriter, will serve as this week’s experts, offering constructive criticism as the acts fight it out for that coveted ticket to Stockholm.

We know that Belgium, Malta, Denmark, Albania,Estonia,Lithuania don t have chance to win Eurovision 2016.
To be totally honest, I think that RTBF are doing a much better at sending quality songs to Eurovision worthy of a Top 10 place (2011, 2013 & 2015 of course) than their Flemish colleagues, with the exception of Tom Dice and Kate Ryan. 🙂 My Eurosong 2016, top 6: 1. Kick the habit just feels really outdated, and I don’t understand the appeal of it to be honest.
The out right star for me is I’m not lost. It’s giving me Ulrik Munther vibes from 2013, but feels updated. Great song. A little clichéd, but sounds like it will fill a space well.
I’m very curious to hear the full songs! For now, I’m rooting for Tom and Astrid, but maybe the full songs may persuade/dissuade me yet!

The video was awesome, indeed you should do it more often. “Wouldn’t even make the semis in Malta” is one of the best lines ever. I completely agree that Tom should win, and that sausage > fish. I don’t get the Amaryllis hype though. Laura is awful, unreal that Selah Sue wrote that.

I don’t understand. You loved the worst song “Kick The Habit” it is horrible, and you hated the best one “In Our Nature”. What’s wrong with you? Your taste is so weird. You also disliked “Everybody Aches” and i think it sounded like Ellie Goulding’s next single. Still i appreciate your straight comments. 🙂
