Since March 20 our readers have cast a total of 19,406 votes to determine who will win the first semi-final of Eurovision 2014. If their attitudes are any indicator, then Armenia’s Aram Mp3 will cruise to victory with his song “Not Alone.”
Aram secured 5,389 votes, or nearly 29% of all those cast. He’s not only a hit with our readers, but also with the Wiwi Jury, our in-house panel of musical unprofessionals. He finished in fifth with our panel.

Azerbaijan’s Dilara, who features a glorious trapeze artist in her performance, finished second with our readers. She earned 3,317 votes, or nearly 18% of all those cast. Might we be starting a fire in Baku in 2015?

Sweden’s Sanna Nielsen, who kept the ray lof light theme during her rehearsals, finished third with 1,704 votes, or more than 9%. Are we headed back to Scandinavia again next year?

Hungary’s András Kállay-Saunders, who won our Wiwi Jury rankings, is foufth with 1,070 votes.

According to our readers, the other qualifiers will be Albania, the Netherlands, Latvia, San Marino, Ukraine and Montenegro. Based on our results, Belgium, Estonia, Portugal, Moldova, Russia and Iceland will not qualify.

Azerbaijan is a joke! Why sing an English song when the prenunciation makes everyone wince? Armenia is overrated and repetitive and Sanna is a replica of Celine Dion. Hungary has the best act in this semi.

What ive just wanted to say is (not becouse of the fact that i am.armenian ) FACTS just FACTS ! if we are going to talk about corruption in eurovision , azerbaijan takes all 12 points , youve seen what had happened during armenian entry at moscow , the broadcasting was interrupted just when the armenian sisters sang! No one is able to deny it becouse many azeris where punished just becouse of voting armenia The one and only thing that people did not like about armenia , was that they quit during eurovision in baku Just for every one… Read more »

Azerbaijan never corrupt vote, although they may have attempt to secure votes for their entry which was well performed last year but they weren’t allowed at all to buy any votes, they got position they deserved last year they came second and the votes came honestly from all over the europe, if Azerbaijan was to buy votes not only Azerbaijan to blame but those who sell their votes to blame as well because they would have encouraged Azerbaijan for accepting the money offered to sell their votes to Azerbaijan, no that didn’t happen, EBU is not stupid to allowe that,… Read more »

@LEAPerce, as you may be familiar with the voting system, there are also jury votes along with the tele-votes. Even if Azerbaijan cheated on tele-voting, they would fail with the jury votes. If juries of different countries were also involved in the cheating (which is literally impossible), this would just take a second to find out and start legal measures. If you mean, the whole EBU was involved, then I just recommend you not to watch a show that you don’t even trust.

Euroman, you’re vile. It’s a known thing Azerbaijan bought votes last year and it was disgraceful. As for your language in a pleasant blog along with a bunch of awful Azeris clogging EVERY post with hate. I assume you are Azeri?

And no, I am not Armenian, just someone sick of reading hatred in the comments sections on here.
