If you bottled up Glen Vella’s energy, it could probably power the LED screen for the duration of the first semi-final. This bouncy singer can’t stop moving, and his energy is infectious. His entry “One Life” is a bit too dated for me, but whenever the chorus rolls around I find myself singing along (and then smacking myself afterwards). The back-up singers can be a bit brash during the chorus, but I like their wigs and sunglasses, so I’ll get over it. It’s not always apparent in the preview video below, but the background features images of the folks who starred in Glen’s official preview video. It fits with the song’s themes of diversity/accepting folks for what they are. What do you guys think of this song and the staging?
