As we continue our interviews with the artists of UMK, we meet Shava, a colourful quintet whose look is part Bollywood and part Pollapönk. They tell wiwiblogger Sami that their song “Ostarilla” has a distinct bhangra influence. They also say they understand that it sounds different to most songs at the Eurovision Song Contest, as it’s inspired by Indian folk music. But they think the genre is really catching on. Should we be getting ready to break it down Indian style in Vienna?
