Our series of poll battles continues. Following the cancellation of last year’s contest, the majority of the class of 2020 are back to finally get their chance on the Eurovision stage. But, as is standard Eurovision regulation, they’ve all got new songs. And the comparisons are coming in fast.
So now, we want to hear from our readers. Do you prefer the returning artists’ 2020 or 2021 songs?
Today, we’re heading to Iceland. We want to hear your opinions about Daði og Gagnamagnið. Last year, they were set to sing “Think About Things” in Rotterdam. And in 2021, they return to Eurovision with “10 Years”. Two years, two songs, both signature Daði and co style. But which is better? Vote in our poll now!
Scroll down to vote in our poll.
“Think About Things” (Iceland 2020)
Daði Freyr and his friends were one of the favourites to win Eurovision 2020 with their viral hit “Think About Things” — a track about Daði’s baby daughter. The song made it into the charts all over Europe, and was even featured on the British dancing competition shows Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing On Ice. The Wiwi Jury — our in-house panel of music unprofessionals — awarded “Think About Things” an impressive score of 8.03/10, our third highest score of 2020.
“Take note: “Think About Things” walks the line of musical quality, joke entry, commercial appeal and very good production, perfectly”, said wiwiblogger Bernardo. “From outfits to looks and choreography, this entry is planned from its very first second. This would be a contender for the victory and deservedly so. It is infectious and has cross-appeal in all age groups.”
“10 Years” (Iceland 2021)
For their 2021 entry, Daði and his pals are keeping it in the family. “10 Years” is a tribute to Daði’s wife Árný, who features in the band as a sax-come-keytar wielding dancer.
The track also features a 1,000-person choir, which contains the voices of fans from all around the world.

Which song did you vote for? How does “10 Years” weigh up against “Think About Things”? Let us know in the comments below.
2020
2020 was super overrated. 2021 is in it right place so I prefer 2021.
Why is there no “NEITHER” option?? ugh
Why do you feel the urge to enter a discusion about 2 songs you dont like only to hate them? ? Toxic vibes
10 years actually replaced think about things in my mind. When I try to sing think about things all that I can think of is the 10 years melody lol
My winners too (from Russia)
“Think About Things” is soooooooooooo much better.
I’d quite like to see Senhit and Luca put together a Linkin Park-style version of Think About Things.
Those lyrics could make a good alternative rock track:
“Though I know I love you
I find it hard to see, how you feel about me
‘Cause I don’t understand you
Oh, you are yet to learn how to speak!”
Think about things was more memorable and efficient.. 10 years is good but takes way longer to actually remember. And more « conventional » i guess. Less « different ».
tbh i prefer think about things even though i think it was very much overrated
I like alott “10 years” on first listening, “Think about things” didn’t impress me
Agree
They’re the same picture.
Both are very well done
“10 Years” for me. That Voltes V tribute in their music video is everything.
Not even a question. Iceland is the biggest “meh” moment of this year.
for 10 years the music video is cooler but i like think about things better
both are good tho
For me Iceland is the biggest downgrade of 2021, but I wish them luck in the contest.
I like “10 Years” more. Both are good though.
I’m also with Benny in that “Is This Love?” is better than both of them.
Both are great!
“Is This Love”, his song for the 2017 Icelandic national selection. It’s the coolest and quirkiest song out of the three I know by him.
Wow, I had no idea he has been running for NF before 2020. Now 2021 being so similar to 2019 seems not a safe bet but an artistic gesture
I didn’t understand what many people liked in Think about things . As a song I’d like to listen to I find 10 years better.
But think about things was many people’s favourite and it was my 28th last year. 10 years is barely anyone’s favourite and my 18th.
So in terms of Eurovision Competitiveness “Think about things” got my vote.
Think About Things. Easily. I start to sing 10 Years but end up singing Think About Things.
Me too, hahaha. Think About Things is just so much catchier.
“Think About Things”, tho “10 years” is good too.
Think About Things
