Jana Kask, who won the second season of Eesti otsib superstaari—Estonia’s version of Pop Idol—will compete to represent Estonia at Eurovision 2011.
Kask will sing Don’t Want Anything, a single she released earlier this month. “We weren’t thinking about Eurovision or Eesti Laul [the Estonian national selection] while producing the song, but since the song has been popular in the Estonian charts, we also decided to send it to the competition,” Jana told reporters.
Estonian broadcaster EBR will accept song submissions for Eesti Laul until December 13. They will then narrow the field to 20 entries who will compete in two semi-finals on February 12 and February 19. The final will take place on February 26.
