Last week details of the German national selection process were unveiled for Unser Song für Dänemark.

It was announced that a wildcard, featuring a new artist or band, will be included alongside more well-known acts. One of Germany’s popular musicians, Adel Tawil, has lauched a campaign to get young musicians to submit their videos onto YouTube, which started earlier this week. This can either be their own composition or a cover version of a well-known hit. You can see the all the candidate’s videos here.

The 8 best acts will be chosen by Adel himself, with the results announced around mid-December. They will then compete at a club concert on 27 February at the Edelfettwerk in Hamburg, with each of them performing two songs. Viewers will then decide who will get the wildcard for next year’s national final, which takes place on 13 March in Cologne.

Last year we saw Cancada can make good music, but better don’t sing live :$ and this year they again found a group of artist (some good known in their own countrie, a few also in bigger circles: Lana del Rey). So maybe… Read more »
