When Spain’s TVE revaled the songs that this year’s finalists hope to sing at Eurovision 2014, you nearly blew up the comments section in our post. You said Brequette’s song “Más “is perfect.” That Ruth Lorenzo’s song demonstrates that she is a “complete artist.” That Jorge Gonzalez can bring Spain back to the Top 10. That Raul surprised you by singing a decent song. And that La Dama’s number….starts off well.

Spain has not yet announced the date of the national final, but we know it’s coming in February. So while we wait for the big day let’s start voting. You can listen to each of the acts one more time below. Be sure to check out the re-mastered versions that TVE released on 17 February. Then vote in our poll. You can vote for as many of the Spanish contestants as you’d like, but you can only vote ONE time. Be sure to click the box next to each act you want to support.

Who should sing for Spain at Eurovision 2014? It’s up to you. Start voting now!

I wanted Jorge Gonzales to win in Spain. It’s the type of song that you hear on the radio when you are visiting Spain on your holidays. I am going to Malaga in July and whenever I hear ‘Aunque se acabe el mundo’ I get excited and look forward to it. It’s a real upbeat, holiday anthem.

I never mentioned that he reminds me of Farid Mammadov from Azerbaijan. 🙂

I vote Brequette and Ruth, both of them

At first Ruth was the best choice and then wow! was Brequette when whe listened the song. However, for me the most important is how they can sing in the LIVE SHOW. The girl with the best performance.

So… I will vote in the last minute on the TVE show 😉

I’ve listened to “Más” and “Uncover” and I can’t hear any remarkable similarities. Both songs sound like a product of the early 2010s. They’ve got touches of Rihanna and Adele and other sounds that we hear in popular songs by young female singers. It’s very rare that a song is 100% original and is totally uninfluenced by the world of pop. That’s not plagiarism, it’s fashion.

@Dhani: Seriously???? DOES IT REALLY MATTER?? IS IT GOING TO TRAUMATIZE YOUR LIFE?? IS IT WORSE THAN CANCER OR HIV??? Uncover and Más were written by the same composer so MOOOOVE ONNNN KID!!!!!!

Brequette, Ruth or La Dama, love all 3 😀 & anyway.. it’s not plagiarism cause that means completely copying work. Brequette has a more Rihanna vibe than anything. You can’t write notes following each other that no one’s ever written before anyway.

@Dhani: We get it and allow me to quote your words “brequette’s song is boring” .. the fact that you find it boring is enough already to understand how much you hate it and how much you can’t stand it’s popularity and how frustrating it is for you to a lot of people preferring it to Ruth’s song. Y te lo voy a explicar en tu lengua porque estoy seguro que lo entenderás mejor … el hecho de que a ti te gusta una canción y no la otra es valido y justo tienes toda la libertad de exprésalo sin… Read more »

Lol you literally just said that “if you think they have no differences, you’re deaf”
So basically you just said you were wrong…..might wanna try and improve your English skills so people can understand you better. I love how people like you have to just make up things because they aren’t happy with what most people think. You just can’t accept the fact that most people believe Brequette has a better song than Ruth, so you keep saying that it’s plagiarized. Pathetic.

Ruth’s Dancing in the rain is just a demo, she has already said in an interview that the final version is gonna be much better!!! I trust in her

@Dhani
I’m sorry but plagiat isn’t a word, and those songs sound barely anything alike. Also, you seem like you’re the minority saying it’s boring. Brequette to Copenhagen!

brequette’s song is boring and a plagiat of this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4aq043kdfY
