Emma Marrone, the first woman ever to be internally selected by RAI for Eurovision, has released the official video for her song “Trattengo il fiato,” which means “I hold my breath” in English. It may not be the most original name for the song, but her style is definitely her own. Brava Emma!
Emma seems more elegant and sophisticated than ever before. She premiered the video of her melting ballad on the website of Italian newspaper Il corriere della sera. The video was filmed in the theater of Urbino, which fits well with the glamour of the song.
But it’s not just about beauty: It’s also about pain. Emma sings about how strong she is after a bad break-up.
The song features on the first edition of her multi-platinum album “Schiena” which was released in early April. In October, Emma released an extended version of her “Schiena” album entitled “Schiena vs. schiena”, which included her Eurovision entry.
