Let there be no doubt: Elhaida Dani knows how to control her powerful vocals. The Albanian Eurovision representative recently appeared as a guest on the Thurje television program where gave an outstanding live performance. In many ways this sounds even better than the music video: Her voice has a natural power and charm that sounds even better live. Feel that emotion and #GoElhaida! You can watch the live performance of “I’m Alive” below.

Elhaida’s Eurovision 2015 staging
Elhaida hasn’t given much information away about her staging for her Eurovision performance. We know that three backing vocalists will join her on the stage. As she told us recently: “I want to keep it simple, I want to keep it strong.”

I am Albanian, but like, the Germans
Kati Wilhelm, Andrea Henkel, Magdalena Neuner, Michael Greis, my dream I saw
Her performance is decent. She’s having a bit of trouble on the low notes. But yeah, unlike those two videos from Spain, I DO have to call out the audio mix on this one – it’s not flattering to her voice at all. The YouTube video’s audio is in mono, so I assume it sounded a little better when it was broadcast in stereo. My big complaint with this song is that it’s one of the least interesting belter-chick solo numbers in our lineup this year. But I’m not worried about her live performance. I have Albania on the good… Read more »
Probably the worst song and live performance this year. Even Finland’s song sounds better than this albanian shit. No points from Germany!
This is the wrong song to showcase her voice, I said that from the very beginning. It is too fast and it is more of a whispering kind of love song. In order to show off she overdoes every single syllable. I am sorry but I don’t think this will have much impact in a contest where so many other songs are vying for attention. By the end of the evening, it will not stick into most people’s mind.
German version of serbia song
Yeah, she is extremely correct, yet so enjoyable, despite the shitty orchestra there.
dying mouse? YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. She hits all the right notes. The fault here lies with the sound system on the Albanian TV.
She sounds awful!! The song is boring and she sounds like a dying mouse live!
OK, i love the song…but thisperformance was massively missing something..i dunno. It just wasn’t as special as i thought it would be. Gutted, cos she’s in my top 5.
Don t see Albania in TOP 10 in final, with this boring song.
One of my favourites! it went to my second place.
This will be even better on the stage in Vienna with backing vocalists, staging, much better sound and recorded music. Bravo, Elhaida! Was and remains in my top 3! <3
I agree with @Alexa. It could very well be between Spain and Albania this year. At the very least Albania are set to beat their Anjeza and Rona records!
i read the comments down below and few were an agenda bcs there is no professional argument about it ,you guys bare in mind we all have ears and we can feel a good performance, imo i thought her rendition and performance was really beautiful and powerful, imo there was no band,no back, and definitely no sound either from the speakers and a poor mic altogether in 1 word useless stage yet she gave everything and for that i know she will rock come May 19,\o/.
I don’t get the critics of some people here??!! Her voice in the performance is great, this is a very difficult song because has high notes and it’s too fast. This live wasn’t Eurovision minding she did as a thank you for the show that permitted her to film the clip Albanian version of the song there. In Eurovision she will have the base, 3 female backvocals and a really nice staging. She said they’re trying to come up with something powerful. I didn’t see other contenders did more or better than her in their lives…I remember Edurne was criticized… Read more »
The microphone is very poor quality, and this version of the song lacks impact, but i do have high hopes for Albania come May. With good staging and no hiccups vocally, this is a strong contender for the Top 10.
Only the beginning is boring, the rest of the song is spot on! Vocals for sure, luckily in Eurovision she’ll have her backup singers and pre-recorded instruments, because here it’s hard to hear her actually sing. Plus the staging will probably be very fitting for the song. Top 10 for sure 😀
Albania WILL win this year! 😀
Elhaida has great stage presence and live vocals!
She will get votes from countries who normally never give high points 🙂
Her performance will shine among the rest <3
Watch the queen conquer! 😀
I love her! Elbainia 2016!
? think people -and albanian people especially- have unrealistic expectations from this song. It is a sympathetic pop production, quite nice to listen to on the radio. However during a live contest I don’t think it will make that much of an impression. Ultimately forgettable.
The meaning of the song is that you are willing to do sacrifices in your life 4 true gay love.. <3 I would personally.. At first i was not really so impressed about *Im Alive* but now it has grown on me much…Its my 3rd most liked on the 1st semifinal & in my top10 overall.. Elhaida if delivers a strong powerfull performance will definitely not have hard time getting the qualifying ticket 4 the big final.. Albania can succeed a great result in the grand final…Even a top 10 place… 🙂 After 2 years in row that Albania stayed… Read more »
Waiting for the Italian version
This will be the Fan favorite who will fail at the contest.
Considering that this isn’t her band and she doesn’t have any back vocalists or that she doesn’t have a great audio sound or a good microphone she just nailed the whole performance from the moment she started I’m definitely on Team Albania this year go Albania go Elhaida. Lots of love from UK.
Its sounds old. Boring
