Anita Simoncini & Michele Perniola from San Marino were a breath of fresh air at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Their song ‘Chain of Lights’ warmed our hearts — as did their youthful energy and teen pop realness. They may have come 16th in semi final 2, but they are from tiny San Marino — it’s always hard to represent a microstate!
Following their second rehearsal Anita & Michele caught up with wiwiblogger William to talk about how they met, their reactions to singing at Eurovision, their relationship with veteran composer Ralph Siegel and how ESC compares to Junior Eurovision. Anita & Michelle also discussed how they were totes excited to take to the Eurovision stage. From fashion talk to memories of meeting Il Volo to an impromptu cover of “Grande Amore”, they are too cute to handle.
I was laughing soooo hard. This song is good, butt THAT START!!! So funny… I loved it. It is also strange that she is in a shiny dress and he just in a simple jacket
Wow. So young, so media-savvy, so utterly loveable … lambs to the slaughter (I don’t care, I still LOVE this song!)
LOL San Marino = Ralph Siegel = 0 Points = Last Place
LOL San Marino = Ralph Siegel = 0 = Points 0 Last Place
I think if Mans sing Chain of lights for Sweden in 2015, he would be in TOP 15 maybe same position like Sweden in 2013 (overrated by juries, and flop with televote).
If Sanna Nielsen sang Maybe for Sweden in 2014, and Valentina sang Undo for San Marino , we would had same situation Sweden on 3 place and San Marino on 24 place in final.
Don’t blame this young artists but San Marino have Ralph Siegel, a old man with best first date for many years ago but think he pay for write their songs

Oh….hehehe 😉 😉
Just a bunch of teenagers that are having fun now that their adolescent is coming to its end… 🙂
Anita = The San Marinese Ivi Adamou of La La Love! <3 😉
Bless them. They are just not particularly good vocalists. They tried hard though and seem really nice.
@esc1234 Don’t puke on the artists. Puke on Siegel!!
i think Anita & Michele was two young fresh talent teen artists in ESC but should not have had an old fashion song from Ralph Siegel
He’s not up to date with music today 2015
Love these two! I think they did San Marino proud!
I thought this was a strong year and there were barely any songs that I really disliked… but this was one of them
EXCUSEZ MOI? Singing so terribly off key can hardly be called a refreshment, especially in combination with the name of Ralph – please stop immediately – Siegel. The Sanmarinese entry is the strongest argument there should be a higher minimum age of ‘performers’ before participation in the adult Eurovision and a maximum on songs to be entered by composers. I’d say 20 is in both cases the limit. Nadav and Molly were musically also not fit for the though job. Both had nice songs but screwed it up by their horrible vocals, so did Anita. Loic was the only exception… Read more »
