Swedish singalong show Lotta på Liseberg is one of the highlights of the Swedish summer concert season. Two shows into this series, we’ve already seen fab performances from Melodifestivalen and Eurovision stars. Let’s take a look at the best.

Mariette Hansson

Despite the rain falling on Liseberg, Marriette brought some sunshine with her Melfest hit “Don’t Stop Believing”. She then strapped on a guitar for her Stockholm Pride theme song “My Revolution”.

Jon Henrik Fjällgren

Jon Henrik Fjällgren proved that his song “Jag är fri” was still powerful and moving, even without the Melfest theatrics. His emotional performance even left some audience members teary-eyed.

Nanne Grönvall

Nanne is something of a Melodifestivalen legend and she also represented Sweden at Eurovision in 1996 as part of One More Time. And her father-in-law is Benny Andersson, Eurovision royalty. At Liseberg, Nanne teamed up with Brolle and the Boppers for a rock ‘n’ roll medley and this spirited ode to Elvis.

Roger Pontare

Roger Pontare is one of the few artists to have represented Sweden twice at Eurovision, first in 1994 with Marie Bergman singing “Stjärnorna”, and solo in 2000 with “When Spirits Are Calling My Name“. He treated the Liseberg audience to the pretty song “Stjärnorna”, this time duetting with the show’s host Lotta Enberg.

Jessica Andersson

Jessica Andersson is another Melodifestival legend (she’s competed six times) and also represented Sweden at Eurovision 2003 as part of the duo Fame. At Liseberg she put a pink streak in her hair and reprised her 2015 Melodifestivalen song, the big ballad “Can’t Hurt Me Now”.

Tommy Nilsson

Tommy Nilsson represented Sweden at Eurovision in 1989 with “En dag”. He attempted a Melfest comeback in 2007 with “Jag tror på människan”, but despite qualifying for the final, he ended up scoring the rare noll poäng. Tommy performed two medleys at Liseberg, a hit medley and this summer medley.

Coming up

There are more Melfest and Eurovision stars to be found in upcoming episodes of Lotta på Liseberg, including Kristin Amparo, JTR, Charlotte Perrelli, Samir & Viktor, Isa, Ace Wilder, Hasse Andersson, Molly Pettersson Hammar, Molly Sandén and – of course – Måns Zelmerlöw himself.

Jon Henrik received the 12 points from the UK jury during Melfest and I am really sad that he did not get the chance to take this song to Eurovision this year as I think it would have done really well.
Maybe in the future, the UK should send the second placed Melfest song as our entry instead of the usual rubbish that we do end up sending!

@ Michelvanddouche Well what do u want 4 WiWiBloggs admins to do really about this? I might posted too many comments here but its not really big deal for WiWiBloggs admins to really do something about that.. Its not like i posted gazzilion comments…They were only 4-5 and i had interesting stuff to write at least according to me.. You are from the users that post rarely at the place here but you have the nerve of criticizing a user like me? You do not have the right to judge me on that.. I Would Bet Today My Money 4 SWEDEN Winning Again Next Year..

If SWEDEN manages to win again next year in home soil history will be made..
Not only the Swedes will equal the record of 7 victories that Ireland has
but they will be the first host country winning back to back in row in the new era of our Vision with the current format..
This scenario of Sweden being the winner of EuroVision 2016 IS possible to happen..

I noticed that the Swedes do not buy albums with the same frequency they buy single digital songs though.. Abba’s best seller Greatest Hits has been certified only 5 times platinum.. So 4 an album to even certified gold is big achievement itself alone.. Mans’ album will manage to get certified gold eventually but i have my serious doubts if will get certified platinum.. I think that *Heroes* has chance to sell more copies till the end of summer & get certified 3 times platinum with 120.000 sold copies.. I can see why *Heroes* was not really big hit in… Read more »

The Winner song of our Vision *Heroes* is still reigning on Sween’s charts.. It is now on #16 & has certified douple platinum having sold over 80.000 copies…Well possibly it has surpassed the 100.000 sold copies.. Loreen’s *Euphoria * sold over 360.000 copies & was certified 9 times platinum! This that really shocked me is that the song *Wake Me Up* of Avicii is still on the top100 chart after 2 whole years!! It is on #78 on its 101th week!! It has certified 13 times platinum having sold over 500.000 half million copies!! It must be the #1 bestseller… Read more »
