Malta: Kurt Calleja serves drivetime realness in “Waiting In The Sun” music video

The Doors may have been waiting for the sun on their third album, but that was way back in 1968. Right now in 2015, Maltese 2012 Eurovision alum Kurt Calleja has joined forces with crowd-pleasing DJ Mykill to release his similarly titled single, “Waiting In The Sun”

The track takes on a chilled-dance vibe. It shows Kurt, and in some scenes DJ Mykill, on a sunny joyride around their picturesque native island. In some of the scenes, Kurt Calleja’s love interest is featured in the video. Lucky her…

The song really takes on a sarcastic vibe when you examine the lyrics. As Kurt makes advances towards a girl, she doesn’t respond. So Kurt then infers that she should take more time while he “waits” in the sun. The waiting is a clever pun for summer partying and frivolity.

And yes, that’s right! Kurt has got a lot of fans – both female and male. No girl should keep him waiting. The music video has an ease to it, and compliments the laid-back attitude of this dance collaboration.
